> 3 dayI am happy with this purchase. It is nicely and safely designed and works well to protect and carry my i-mac. The only issue I had was when I had to carry on this on the airplane. Most domestic airplane has small over-the-head cubby that does not fit this bag. Therefore, you should either ask for flight attendants favor to load this in their flight attendant zone or do a luggage claim. Of course, you dont want to do a luggage claim for this. If your flight attendant is generous enough, you are lucky. But it really is about your luck. One time, I was lucky, the other time, I had to post this at the gate. But the good news is that my i-mac is okay even through the gate check-in with this bag.

> 3 dayThis case is amazing and while results may vary, I was able to safely check my computer on a plane under the 50 lb limit. If youre like me, my suggestion is to (1) bubblewrap your computer (2) secure it in the Gator case and (3) [extra important] put the case BACK into the box in which it was shipped. Results may vary and I cant say this will work for everyone but this was the review I was looking for when buying this case so I hope it helps to know someone has done this successfully!

23-11-2024For those looking for a case for the Wacom Cintiq 22HD, this works great. The Cintiq fits in the bag with the stand attatched and there is a pocket for the wires to sit in the back and the front has a ton of pockets for other things. Even comes with a rain “coat” protector for the whole bag.

> 3 dayThis is a great carrying bag for a 27 iMac. It has a couple of velcro foam blocks to help with positioning and padding of the computer while in transit. I usually transport it screen down in the trunk of my car and this bag has protected it well.

> 3 dayI have decided to buy this because I didnt want to take risks on my travel from Miami to Canary Islands, Spain. Well, the front desk person at the airport face was not so comfortable with the dimensions, but she told me to put the case in the measurer for carry ons, incredibly it fitted both thickness and wide, but was about 6 over in height, this was not taken seriously by the staff and they let me go to the cabin. Another good thing is it fits perfectly on the upper compartments, so nothing happened when I landed in Lisboa, Portugal and then took my second plane to Tenerife, the iMac came to the new home immaculate as always, and I am here working with my favorite computer, the investment is 10% of the cost of buying a new computer, because knew selling this one where I am writing now would get me no more than $500 on average... Cons: nothing but the fact in my situation I probably would never travel with that computer again, so the protective case was useful only one time and no more ever. Pros: If you want to travel peace of mind that your iMac is extraordinary safe, buy this!

> 3 dayI absolutely love this case. It practically gives you the mobility of a labtop with absolute safety. Even if you move your iMac one time, you will need this case.

> 3 dayI’ve got a practice space downtown where I write and record music on my iMac. As the space is a little seedy, I’m hesitant to leave my iMac there, so rather than carry around in the box it came in, I figured a case would be better. While the case is essentially as big as the retail box, the padding is adjustable and easy to work with, and the shoulder strap helps a lot. The padded pockets on the back are pre-labeled with pictures, and if you really need to work from the case, there’s enough space and ventilation to keep the iMac at normal operating temperature. The only downside with working from the case is that it’s tricky to use the USB ports, particularly if you’re using a flash drive, as you need to take out the under-screen padding to keep from compromising the port. Otherwise, this case is amazing! Even though the price seemed high to me initially, the quality and durability makes it worth it. My love of my iMac has now spread further to include the case, which I’ve named Patrick.

Greater than one weekAs a designer (architect) myself I appreciate the design thinking that went into the making of the Gator Case for 27” iMac. Simply put, it does what it supposed to do, protect an expensive computer for transit. The tuff fabric, ample pockets and quick velcro pads set the Gator apart from other cases. I completely trust my iMac in this case. Thanks to whomever designed this and saw it through production!

> 3 dayI think it is expensive for what it is. But I needed a bag to safely move my iMac for a cross country relocation and for the purpose it performed it’s job perfectly. The organization for keyboard and accessories was very useful and everything made it to my final destination totally intact. It would be a lot more useful if I was a product photographer that shot tethered to my computer or something along those lines. As a 1 off item for a move it was probably over kill but I’m not upset I bought it. In the end it’s much cheaper than buying a new computer.
