> 3 dayLet me start out by saying that I”m not an electrician, heck I’m not even a professional. I’m a third year commercial HVAC apprentice, which means I don’t know Diddley (as told to me by my training journeymens), so I asked my foreman and his right hand man on what bag I should get now that they didn’t run me out of the trade. “Go with the Gatorback electrician’s bag. Lots of pockets for all of your tools, very comfortable, etc….” So I gave these a try. I can see why he would recommend these bags. It’s sturdy and looks good, perfect for an onsite foreman. I’ve used these for a week now at two sites that have me doing many different kinds of work. Disappointed is probably an understatement. From function to comfort, these let me down at every turn. There was a 2 star review from Kelsey that succinctly described all the negative aspects of this bag. Function: Yes, there is ample rooms for all my most used-tools, but if you want to use them, good luck. I spend a good 30 minutes setting up my tools, making sure that I didn’t place the tools to tight or overfilled it with screws, leaving many pockets unused. My snips would get snag with the pocket liners, the chain to hold my flex tape won’t hold while I’m in motion. It’s so bulky that it’s useless to me on a scissor lift. The hammer hooks fold over on itself when the bag is placed on the ground, my tape measurement falls off every time I bend forward, and the biggest deal breaker, my screws fall out constantly. Comfort: I’m pretty lean so getting a tool belt that fits me is difficult, so I do am use to toolbelt discomfort. I wear a 30” belt normally outside of work and because I like a snug fit, I ordered a small and had the same problem as Kelsey. I can close the belt, but the padded velcro portion is bunched up, so I don’t get a snug fit. After a week’s wear and a weekend to rest up, my hips are still hurting, where I can’t lay on my side. I’m not going to give up on the company yet. Seeing that I don’t know Diddley, I possibly could have gotten the wrong setup. I will return these and give their carpenter bag with suspender a shot.

> 3 dayI started out my electrical career with the basic Klein belt you can get at Home Depot. Super uncomfortable, fragile is probably a good description. The Gatorback is an amazing bag. Comfortable, durable, overall just a good fitting tool to make a long day a little bit easier on you. If your like me you will question whether or not to bother buying the suspenders. After a week you will wish you had bought them to start with. Go ahead and spend the extra money, it really does make a big difference in comfort and they won’t be as much trouble as they look. My only complaint is the tool pouches on the outside of the bag on the right hand side. The middle pouch is as long as the bag is while the two other pouches only reach half way down. This may not seem like a big deal but once your using the bag for 12+ hours a day it will get annoying that the two shorter pockets can only hold onto the few short tools you may have. Most electrical tools are long. Screw drivers, levels, strippers, etc. making the two other pouches run the depth of the bag would be an excellent idea. With that being said though I’m sold on this bag.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my husband, he is an electrical apprentice Who works residential. His back is been killing him from his old toolbelt sitting on his hips, and his toolbelt was getting worn out. We purchased this one and a set of suspenders, and his back pain has all butnearly went away. He absolutely loves his belt, I wish we had Bought it sooner.

> 3 dayI had high hopes but 4th day on the job the tape holder went missing. The tape measure clip doesn’t hold the tape measure I use the regular Stanley 25’. And the screw driver pockets don’t really do much when I put the belt down and pick it up say after break guarantee something is falling out. Pockets aren’t that deep barely hold diagonal cutters and linemen don’t even try

> 3 dayI owned the previous model belt and it was awesome. I dont know why they changed it completely, but thes bags suck! The bags dont attach to the Velcro lining, rather sit right below it, the Velcro system to hold the bags in place is completely useless. The Velcro that holds the two ends of the paded belt together doesnt work at all. Seriously, the only thing that sticks to it is lint. It is also completely useless. The 3 exterior plier holder pouches have been shrunk, the only thing that fits inside them are toy pliers and dust. Useless. The bags hold a lot of stuff, but because this belt doesnt hold together unless you crank on it, it ends up pulling your pants down. Total junk. Save your money
