These are nice lights. Work well in various fixtures as well as stand alone.

I was pleasantly surprised by these lights. Color is great and they fit perfectly. Cant use them for lamps where the shade attaches to the bulb, but look great in overheads, other lamps, etc. can you really call them bulbs, though?

I purchased three of these bulbs from a local orange colored home improvement store. I have a bathroom fixture that they really look great in. I would agree that the bulbs themselves cast a light that is perhaps just a bit under the standard set by Cree or Philips, but these are the first bulbs I have purchased with an alternative design that actually seems to work. I had big hopes for the vented Cree bulb, but the cooling ruins the aesthetic. The Philips flat bulb just seems ridiculous. This is almost like a short little fluorescent bulb coming out of a socket. It works. I got the Daylight bulbs which is what Im reviewing. I vastly prefer them to soft white, but I must admit that the effect of going from my hall with soft white bulbs still installed to daylight bulbs is dramatic. I will eventually put daylight temperature bulbs in everywhere and it wont be so noticeable. For those who arent aware, soft white are very low temperature color palate and are warm/yellow in color cast. Daylight are not nearly so cold as fluorescent bulbs at your old primary school, but theyre higher temperature and have a much bluer cast than a soft white bulb.
