GE Lighting CYNC Outdoor Smart Plug, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Outlet Socket, Weather Resistant Plug, Voice Control Outlet, Works with Alexa and Google Home

Works but just barely. Atleast on IOS this is a pass. Constantly having to connect. Better off going over and turning the lights off yourself.

Only negative is that I need one more app on my phone. Darn it. But it works great and was easy to install.

This has to be the biggest waste of money all year! I have a no name 4 outlet plug that works way better and it was half the price. This looks nice and it seems nice but for starters, it is not very small and compact as the photos. Not a big deal. It worked for a minute with the app that has a 2 star rating but then it is continually Not Found! Restart the app and still not found. Unplug the device and plug it back in and it works! ONCE! Then you start over again. So basically you may as well save yourself some money and walk outside and pull the plug out yourself. Now try syncing with Alexa or Google Home! You think using the app was bad? You are in for an experience here! Everything works just the same as with the 2 star app! However now you can hear Alexa tell you the plug isnt responding! I would love this to be all that was bad about this but wait, theres more! In the description it says you get an outlet cover to make it usable outdoors and it show a clear plastic cover to make it usable! Yeah, it isnt in the box! The only thing in the box is the useless plug, a useless instructions manual and wait for it... 1 screw and a cheap plastic drywall anchor. You know in case you want to mount this on your drywall outside in the driveway. This is literally the second time in a week Amazon sold me garbage. They have a wonderful return policy as long as you dont mind driving it to a ups store or a Kohls or an Amazon locker. How about you pick it up when you drop off the new one that works? Or stop selling junk! Do some research before listing deal of the day items? I buy based on trust, this is obviously useless junk according to the app reviews. The app needed is called cync? When you try to connect to your Alexa or echo, there isnt a n option for this brand. If you use the selection labeled GE, it wont let you continue without a hub! So skip this and go to add skill. Then it asks for all your information and then asks are you sure? I should have taken the hint... Stay away from this unless you are in the mood to drive to return it or just waste your money. In case I didnt get my message across, this product is garbage!

Works about 90% of the time seamlessly integrates with Google Assistnat. Which is all more than I can say for some other ones I tried to purchase.

Easy to set up and connect to Alexa. App works well

We changed our internet service and our original outdoor smart plug wasnt compatible. This one is. Extremely easy to install and works flawlessly.

Follow the directions and download the Cync Ap and add your plugs to that AP first! Don’t listen to Alexa tell you she’s found a smart plug. Keep going with Cync until all plugs are added. Then allow Alexa to add them to your Alexa Ap. I’m using with my exterior Christmas Lights and they work perfectly! Now if I can only figure out how to add a routine to Alexa I’ll be happy.

Once you figure out using the scenes to schedule your ge smart plug it works perfectly. You are able to set each plug to a separate schedule. I love the weatherproof design with lots of space for all kinds of large plugs. My only complaint is the app user experience and interface. I understand why they made scenes but they really shouldve made it way more straightforward especially for the audience using smart plugs. Being able to set it like a schedule on your Google calendar wouldve been way easier for all target markets to understand. Great smart plug though! I wouldnt trust the off brands here on Amazon especially for electronics that can potentially catch fire.
