WOW! We only have light from a fan light 3 lights no dimmer we installed all three bulbs and WAM we have a dimmer we have a color, we have fun, so easy so great, highly recommend it to everyone.

The bulbs do what they claim but the remote buttons wear out quickly. Its difficult to get them to function now.

They give my bedroom a cozy,comfortable feel. The remote does so much you can change colors and more. I bought more I loved them so much!!!!

Bulb is better quality and much brighter than I had expected. Does what it says. Very satisfied so far.

Like many others stated, I received 2 different types of bulbs in my order. There is a 16-color version and a 10-color version. They can use the same remote, but they dont work well together in this setup as they dont support the same settings, and this was so infuriating that I just took the 10-color version out of the lamp and only use the 16-color version in the other one in the room. The 10-color version does not support the same brightness levels or the same color changing options (like slowly shifting colors automatically) that the 16-color version supports. When using the remote, I kept ending up with one light substantially brighter than the other, even on either of the white settings.

Pros: -Simple remote that doesn’t confuse guests -Dual color temperate feature great for bathroom Cons: -Color modes do not Dim. -Too few dimming increments for white light and lowest dimming mode still too bright for night light use. Single bulb is not bright enough for bathroom. Two bulbs not bright enough for large bedroom. 800 lumens is good for A bed side Lamp, that’s about it. I bought these to replace my ILC brand bulbs, which are similar in function but not quite the same. The ILC bulbs worked great for my application where I wanted dim amber light at night and bright white light during the day but the ILC bulbs all failed within a year (started flickering when dimmed). In comparison, the ILC brand bulbs dim more, so they work better for my application aside from the short lifespan, but the remote for these GE bulbs is better in terms of user interface. Both bulbs seem to have the same brightness at full power (not bright enough) Still searching for a bulb that meets my needs and nobody seems to get it right. The perfect design would be a 1000+ or better yet 1200 lumen output, simple remote interface like this one that adjusts color temperature from white to deep orange/amber and a dimmer that works for all color modes.

This is a really interesting product, as it lets one choose multiple colors easily from the remote in addition to the traditional white light of a regular bulb. The remote is awesome, as its not one of those usual credit-card sized ones that are so easy to lose. Its a substantial remote with well laid out buttons. The colors are very nice and vivid, but keep in mind that you get the colors shown on the remote only- theres no mixing function to create different colors like many lights do. You also cannot dim the colors- only the white setting has a dimmer function, but the colored lights arent terribly bright. Not requiring WiFi is a huge benefit. We have an extremely automated home from alarm, cameras, thermostats, lights inside and out- plus a dozen computers, tablets etc. and it wreaks havoc on the router! Every light, every switch, every tablet etc that connects will demand attention from the router. Many routers have a limit as far as how many devices can connect before it becomes a performance problem. We have to run two separate routers with four networks to accommodate all our devices, so non-WiFi devices are a welcome addition. Perfect for the kids rooms, they enjoy the color choices and when we have parties at the house we can snarf their color bulbs from their rooms and put them elsewhere in the house for a cool effect. Were ordering a couple more of these to put in the entry way of the house by the koi pond- will make a much more dramatic and impressive display. VERY happy with the quality and function! 100% recommend, with the caveat that its not immensely bright.

The product description states that these bulbs are for entertaining guests or as room decor for a teen girl. While I dont entertain guests nor am I a teen girl, these bulbs have miraculously continued to function for me.
