This is a really interesting product, as it lets one choose multiple colors easily from the remote in addition to the traditional white light of a regular bulb. The remote is awesome, as its not one of those usual credit-card sized ones that are so easy to lose. Its a substantial remote with well laid out buttons. The colors are very nice and vivid, but keep in mind that you get the colors shown on the remote only- theres no mixing function to create different colors like many lights do. You also cannot dim the colors- only the white setting has a dimmer function, but the colored lights arent terribly bright. Not requiring WiFi is a huge benefit. We have an extremely automated home from alarm, cameras, thermostats, lights inside and out- plus a dozen computers, tablets etc. and it wreaks havoc on the router! Every light, every switch, every tablet etc that connects will demand attention from the router. Many routers have a limit as far as how many devices can connect before it becomes a performance problem. We have to run two separate routers with four networks to accommodate all our devices, so non-WiFi devices are a welcome addition. Perfect for the kids rooms, they enjoy the color choices and when we have parties at the house we can snarf their color bulbs from their rooms and put them elsewhere in the house for a cool effect. Were ordering a couple more of these to put in the entry way of the house by the koi pond- will make a much more dramatic and impressive display. VERY happy with the quality and function! 100% recommend, with the caveat that its not immensely bright.

I got 2 reflector style bulbs for my living room. Not as many color options as other bulbs, you cant strobe the colors nor can you dim the colored lights, you can only dim the white and daylight light options. But these are brighter than off brand bulbs which work better in my living room for ambiance and seeing at the same time. You can also use one remote to control more than one light at a time, so they do synchronize. You can also point the remote at just one bulb it without changing others. Well worth the purchase.

Incredible and fun bulb! Easy to install, and the included remote control is both amusing, and useful as you set a tone for the room. I love the notion that no hub is required for operation. Pretty much open the box and install the bulb, and you are all-set. The remote is intuitive, and seems sturdy. I liked it so much that I purchased another one for my entryway. I might get more. The ease of use, coupled with versatility makes this a winner. I wish such things were available back in my college days (a million years ago). I enjoy being able to change-up a living space with regular lighting, and custom mood lighting. This is EASY. No kidding. Perfect as a gift for just about anyone. And for yourself too! This is tech, as it should be - high quality, and simple to use.

I have 3 lights in my office so I bought 2 packs. 1 bulb blew out within a couple of weeks of having them, but so far the other 3 are holding up. I saw some reviews saying the bulbs weren’t holding their last setting after flipping the light switch off and back on, but I have not experienced that issue. The remote is different from the bulbs I have at home and they are the same brand. I’m not sure if I got an old model maybe? Other than the one bulb blowing out quickly, they have worked out great for what I need them for. I like that I can control the brightness in my office or put it on a fun color if I want!

This is a pretty cool light bulb, as you can dim it or change colors without bothering to get up or installing an App on you phone. The only thing I think can be better is the remote. It uses IR so you have to point the remote directly to the bulb for it to work and if there is anything in the way (like the lampshade) it wont work.
