I am ashamed to admit I abuse and neglect my paintbrushes almost every time I use them. I do a lot of extremely detailed painting, so it doesnt take much for the tiny brushes to lose their point. But even the larger ones dont last under my abuse. I have always bought pretty cheap brushes and then give them to the kids when they arent so good anymore. I finally got fed up with myself after going through my paint brushes and realizing they were all better suited for the trash bin than the kids art closet. I decided to buy some decent brushes (not yet willing to accept full responsibility for my actions!) and while searching kept hearing about this cleaner. So I ordered this cleaner along with all new brushes, but I saved the ones I was going to toss. Fast forward. I cleaned my paint brushes and all the kids brushes. It was amazing how much paint came put of the brushes that looked clean, and embarrassing how much came out of the ones that didnt. After cleaning, I coated the bristles with the cleaner and let them sit to condition. I ended up saving about half the brushes! And about half of those are like new again. I love the fresh clean smell, and despite all my skin and respiratory allergies, it hasnt bothered me. This stuff is great.

Doesn’t cut through the really tough paints, but works well enough and has a long lifespan.

I have never used a brush cleaner except for the manufacturers recommended cleaner such as turpentine, mineral spirits, etc. I didnt want to buy a quart of turpentine to clean the enamel paint from my small brushes. So, I tried this stuff. It is not just good stuff it is a FANTASTIC brush cleaner and preservative. It is the best product I have ever seen in my 60+ years of building model planes and ships. You cannot go wrong with this cleaner.

I can’t say for sure that this works any better than, say, buying a bar of unscented soap from the supermarket, but this seems to work. It cleaned my brushes. The plastic container is good for keeping everything neat. Worth it if you buy expensive brushes, or if you can’t afford to replace even affordable brushes. It will make the bristles last longer.
