This product is an EnviroCare Technologies product -- not Miele. The mechanism that attaches it to the vacuum is made of sturdy cardboard, not like the Miele which is made of plastic. But it does hold the bag securely in place and the bag works well. I havent had any problems with its performance.

Miele vacuum bags USED TO BE one of the best things about Miele vacuums. The plastic connector piece provided a sturdy connection to the vacuum hose and had a cover that slid over the bag opening to seal the bag for dust-free disposal. The current design is expensive garbage. The opening has a plastic flap that doesnt always connect with the hose so that the vacuum dumps what it picks up into the canister instead of the bag, and by the time the bag is full, the flap doesnt stay closed leaking whatever has been vacuumed. Why would Miele take an awesome product and turn it into crap??

A replacement for an aged vac. Goes to show the quality of Miele. Pretty pricey, but if it lasts as long as the last one, ends up being pennies a day.
