> 3 dayMy Kohler Cimmeron developed Phantom Flushing after a few years. Replacing this part fixed the problem. There were instruction on how to install on the back of the package, however I needed to watch a handy YouTube to complete the job. It was very easy and Im not at all handy.

> 3 dayI have a Kohler Wellworth toilet with tank 4436 (tank numbers are stamped on the inside of the tank). I pulled up the parts list on the Kohler site and saw that this was the gasket required. My old gasket was red and severely degraded (although I didnt see how bad until I pulled it off and replaced with this yellow one). Toilet tank would slowly empty until the refill was triggered at random times during the day. Replacement was very easy, and I didnt remove the chain, you can access everything without doing that. Very easy repair and saved me a plumbers visit, my friend paid $139 for the same job. I appreciate all the comments left here in the reviews that explained so clearly how to do this.

> 3 dayThis worked like a charm. I only gave it 4 stars . Because it had a perfume odor on arrival. I am chemically sensitive and the thought of my toliet smelling like that had me worried. I am happy to say that after sitting outside for a week open and then washing it several times it had no odor, and still retained its shape, thickness, and ability to seal. Very strange to have something so utilitarian smell like air freshner or perfume. Not what I expected and hope this is not a trend.

> 3 dayAfter nine years, the original canister seal disintegrated causing the toilet to continue running. It was difficult to remove the canister top (plastic, didnt want to snap/break it), but once that was done the old seal took some work to remove but this seal went on like a charm. Hoping to get another 9 years out of it.

> 3 dayOur toilet became hard to flush. It was becoming an issue so I watched a couple of youtube videos. Those videos led me to purchase this part. This was a perfect replacement part for our toilet tank. The replacement was fast and easy just like the flush became after replacing it. Instructions: Take off the tank lid. Turn off the water. Flush the toilet to get rid of water in the tank. Pull the small hose piece from the center cylinder. Give the main cylinder a quarter to half twist and pull up. This should pop out the center piece. Pull off old seal and reinstall the flushing mechanism. Save $50 from calling the plumber.

> 3 dayI purchased my home about 6 months ago and noticed the flush knob was ‘sticky’ on two of them. When I would press down on the lever, I’d need to use a bit of force. I didn’t think much of it until one day I noticed one of them running. I thought I was going to need to replace the entire tank mechanism, but a quick google search led me to these gaskets. I opted for this general Koehler part and am glad I did because it worked flawlessly. It fixed both the issue with the toilet running, and with it being ‘sticky’ to flush. Installation was super simple - the included directions were helpful but there are also plenty of YouTube tutorials if you need extra help. The improvement over the old gaskets was so nice that I went ahead and ordered a second to fix the other toilet before the old gasket on that one deteriorated even more. Others have mentioned (and is specifies on packaging) that your old gasket may be red - this yellow one is the right replacement.

> 3 dayI’ve only had this installed for a week & it’s working great! I am pretty optimistic that it will do better than the last kohler canister seal ring that came with the toilet originally. The toilet wasn’t even 4 years old & the ring (as shown in the pictures/red ring) was shot. So much so that the toilet wasn’t sealing so the toilet ran all night. This does replace the red seals. It seems better quality than the red ones too. I forgot to get a picture of the new yellow seal but it’s smooth & it is like others have said a little over 3 inches diameter (about 3 & a half inches diameter.) We have a class 5 & class 6 Kohler toilets( class 5 shown in pictures) & this Seal fits both (canister type flushers.) Super easy to install. Kohler has an instruction video on YouTube & I believe on Amazon, that helps guide you to replace the seal. I also bought the genuine Kohler toilet chain on Amazon(sold & shipped by Amazon) fantastic price & products are genuine.

> 3 dayAfter disconnecting the water line in tank, I had a little trouble twisting the yellow cap off -- was afraid it would break b4 it turned. But the gasket fit in the groove perfectly. But the tank still leaks -- green food coloring doesnt lie. DK if its another tank part or the valve at the wall. So, will call in a plumber after all. At least I know what the problem isnt.
