This is a nice dual smart plug. Both outlets can be individually controlled. This plug works with all voice assistants as well and can be integrated into Home Assistant using the Smart Home App. Good plug with individual control.

I love that this is in the wall, does not look out of the ordinary, it does not stick out like add on plug in smart outlets. There are two illuminated buttons on the outlet one for each socket with arrows pointing to which socket they control If possible, I like to set up smart devices that are permanent in an easy access environment. Easy to get to, reset, remove and if needed return with as little hassle as possible. Make sure the location this will be installed has adequate wifi coverage. Once setup, just install it in its final destination. I installed this in a spare electrical box on my workbench. I had a few issues that should not have come up. - In the Gosund App there is no option to select a wall outlet - I initially used a socket option and it may have worked but the instructions were vague - I ultimately used a switch option and when it completed the setup it knew this was a wall outlet - My Gosund app was not current, I suggest you update 1st but do not expect after the update to see an option for wall outlets. - Once installed you have control over each outlet separately. This alone is a great feature. - This must connect to a 2.4ghz Wifi. It should work in a mixed 2.4/5.0ghz but if you have issues, try 2.4 ghz only - Upon setup completion this turned both outlets on which sets the LEDs on the outlet red. This too was confusing as red LEDs normally indicate something went wrong. - This also looks like it will work with SmartLife app. - I do not think the on/off buttons on the outlet are practical, but if you lose wifi or for some reason need to turn these on/off that is an option. The buttons are also the reset feature. Press and hold both for 5 seconds. - It comes with wire nuts, wire labels, the smart outlet, quick connect (snap on) faceplate, screws to mount an existing Décor style faceplate, screws to secure the outlet to the electrical box and some instructions. - This is not weatherproof unless you install it in a weatherproof junction box. - As with all smart switches, outlets etc… these take up a fair amount of space (depth and width) in an electrical box. Overall I really do like this.

Awesome product. Needed to DL the Gosund app to link it to my Alexa which was easy. After that I’ve never used the Gosund app. Each outlet can have its own command. Also located on the outlet has a manual power on and off for each plug. Product is good to go. Havent had any issues with connectivity so far.

I firstly tried this plug with the app recommended on the packaging: gosund app. Be aware that your phone / laptop will have to be connected to your WiFi in 2.4ghz, it wont work if you are connected in 5ghz. It could be a challenge for someone not tech savvy. I am anti-cloud... Having to use a specific app to trigger my outlet is not something I like, I want everything local. If your internet provider is down, or the Gosund server is down, or even worse, if Gosund goes bankruptcy, your cloud outlet is not going to be triggerable anymore... Thats why Im using Home assistant, its an open source software designed to be a central control system for smart home devices with a focus on local control and privacy. Other similar softwares are Domoticz, Jeedom, Hubitat.. So, here is the interesting thing: this outlet is actually a Tuya outlet, and it is easily flashable to another firmware. I personally love Tasmota. To flash it, youll need a Linux computer, and youll install tuya-convert. Youll find all the details on github. There is a good youtube video that will help you if you need: on youtube search for digiblur tuya convert. If like me you decide to go with Tasmota, youll have to configure it. Go to your console and type the following commands: template {NAME:Gosound Outlet,GPIO:[320,0,576,0,2656,2720,0,0,2624,321,225,224,0,4704],FLAG:0,BASE:18} rule1 on analog#a0<400 do power2 toggle break on analog#a0<800 do power1 toggle break endon rule1 1 module 0 After a reboot, your outlet is now cloud-free!!! And the very last thing to do will be the calibration of the power: on youtube digiblur gosund w01 and go to 16:55. Youre all set!

I have a lot of smart home devices and just about everything in my house that can be automated is. I needed an extra outlet to control a new lamp I have and stumbled upon this device to try and I am in love. All of my other home outlets are 50/50 in terms of being smart. Typically the top outlet is “standard” and not controlled and then the bottom outlet is “smart” and can be voice controlled or a button on the outlet can control the on/off of it. With this device BOTH the top and the bottom are smart, allowing you to control two different devices from the one outlet. On the device there are two buttons, one to control each outlet. This is great as I remember being very disappointed with my first outlet that it didn’t control both. I got used to it over time but now I don’t have to. I’ll likely be looking to replace some of my other GE outlets with these for areas I want two devices to be controlled in the same area.

My boyfriend installed these and he said it wasn’t hard (though he does have experience doing so). It was easy to get set up with Alexa. I’m excited to use them!

Helpful to have. Easy to install, just make sure to turn the power to the outlet off first. Took a minute to install with Alexa. Am very happy with this and that it is voice activated.

Ive had and installed a bunch of different outlets similar to this item. When I moved, instead of going with the brand I had been using (which was zwave) I figured itd be worth trying out some of the very prevalent Wi-Fi outlets. The ability to work without a hub, but also integrate into a smart home automation system, seemed nice. One plus to this vs. my older outlets: both outlets can be controlled independently, both via buttons (clearly labeled) on the outlet, or via the app. All my old outlets only had one controllable outlet, with the second outlet always powered on. Having extra control is a nice plus. Getting the outlet paired up and working was simple, certainly easier than zwave or bluetooth. If you do multiple, once you get the hang of it you can pair a device up in under a minute.
