Took me a while (senior) to get hooked up to Alexa and still having to say turn o or off outlet #1 or outlet #2. Instead of location. Work in process. Very small print in instructions, would like a bigger font

At nearly the one year of ownership mark, all 4 plugs stopped working. Nothing has changed with my WiFi settings, placement of plugs, etc. They just will not work no matter what I do to re-pair them. Warranty claim submitted...lets see if this manufacturer will replace under their terms and conditions. Ill update when I hear back. UPDATE: Well, Ill give them a ton of credit. They got back to me very quickly. Their response... My sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Our tech team found the IoT Services have been down, affecting all Wi-Fi-related app features. As a result, your devices might not be working correctly. At this moment, we are working diligently to fix the issue. Once there is any up-date, we will let you know through our forum or notice in the APP. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Best regards, Nicole Lets see if the products operation gets fixed on the back end. My only concern...Nicole insists theyll get back to me in the app with an update on the products operation. If theres a problem as stated, why not notify me in the app, too? Just a thought, of course... They fixed the problem but Im dismayed at the communication. They have a hidden message board in the app that controls these plugs. Thats where the outage was divulged. I would think that would be a banner in the app, something more apparent.

Have not had any trouble with these smart plugs losing connection with my network. Have worked great! Thanks

Used it for some lights in my shop. It works well but only gets 4-stars from me because of their App.

Work every time and easy to set up or add to. Will buy more

I used the outlets to turn on lights and a fan in a hard to reach place. Each outlet is separately controlled and is easily named and renamed. Installation went quickly and smoothly as did connecting it to Alexa. Alexa turned on and off each outlet as expected. Very happy thus far with the ease of use and ease of connecting to Alexa.

In the past, I have used the Smart Life app to install all my smart devices regardless of manufacturer. With these plugs, I had to download the Govee app because they wouldn’t install worth Smart Life. When I opened the Govee app, I could not find a category for plugs. Buried in the instructions was a step to enter the model number in the search field to find these plugs. Once that was done, I was able to proceed with the installation and the remainder of the units were easily set up. Govee appears to be mostly in the business of selling smart light bulbs. During installation, I gave the two-outlet unit a name based on where I was going to use it. I then named each outlet based on its specific use. However, I found that you cannot address the whole unit to turn both outlets on and off at the same time. You can only operate the outlets individually. Not a huge problem since I have added each unit to a group and usually turn things off and on by addressing the group.

Needed a plug for a pendent light so that I didn’t have to reach behind a side table every time to turn it on. Now I can sit in my recliner, pick up my phone and voilà!

EXTREMELY easy to get setup and going with the Govee app and Alexa app. You can name the plug and then name each plug on either side their own name and turn off/on either side from the app. Took about 5 minutes to set up and even have an Alexa routine up and going. Highly recommended if you’re wanting to add some Alexa capable smart home devices to your home.
