These are great products! I’ve been having a difficult time getting any kind of length on my beard without it frizzing out and looking scruffy and unkept. Ran across this product while searching beard oils and the art and flavors drew me in. The package arrived a couple days before Christmas, which was good timing due to holiday travels. I immediately started applying the balm, which was a little difficult at first until I figured out to allow it to melt between my fingertips before applying. This allowed my beard and mustache to relax and soften and made it more trainable. The smell was great! Kind of a spiced Dr. Pepper smell. I was very pleased with it, but my wife absolutely loved it! For as good as the balm is, I found myself using the oil much more often. I tend to use the balm on special occasions, but the oil I apply on a daily basis. A few drops applied on the beard and mustache and spread evenly with a fine toothed comb does the trick. Using this, my beard has finally stopped frizzing out and started to achieve more length and fullness. I also had issues with my skin drying and flaking under my beard, but haven’t had this problem since using these products. Just little goes a long way! So use sparingly.

Man this stuff smells great !! Ever morning when i kiss my wife goodbye she tells me how good my beard smells and she dont even like my long beard !! Lol .. Will buy again from this great company !!

This is really good stuff. Has a great smell, not overpowering. It leaves my beard soft with a good shine. Would highly recommend.

He loved his stocking stuffer

Zero notes of Cigar scent. If youre think of purchasing based on the name (i.e. Cigar), dont! Only fragrance that is discernable is the overpowering Vanilla scent. The typical image branding of these products (skulls), in this case, might be more appropriate as a Flowering Vanilla Bean on a pink background. The GB4S products are apparently meant for real men with beards and in this case, those that also smoke cigars or appreciate the smell of cigars. That said - this particular product would be better matched to a more feminine person, perhaps to tame hair growth on other parts of ones body, but certainly not for real men with beards.

Good smelling stuff

This is one of the first beard products I ever used. GBS has been a go-to for me since 2017. The texture of the oil is fairly light and absorbs into the beard hair with no problems. The beard balm has a scent that matches perfectly and emulsifies with ease. How would I describe the scent? There’s vanilla and spice, but it does not smell like a cigar in my opinion.

I typically start my day or end a shower with a light coat of beard oil. I then top it off with a light coat of beard balm to hold everything together and in place. Ive used Honest Amish and its ok. descent hold, boring fragrance that quickly leaves. Ive also used Viking Revolution (Matched balm and oil fragrances)... feels like I wasted money when I could have been invested in Grave Before Shave for my beard care from the beginning. Those other oils and balms are just going to end up sitting in a drawer now. The hold of the balm is perfect. The other balms I was using just kind of added a hint of texture and hold. This formula actually helps hold the beard in place without adding any funny textures. It also tames those wild hairs that dont want to go with the flow of the rest of the beard hairs... amazing stuff. Keeps my beard clean presentable and in check. The scent of the cigar blend (vanilla) is subtle and I enjoy the subtle sent I get when moving around having a clean beard and get a wiff. Why handt I tried the brand before? Well, seems like every random person out there has a beard oil with some simple fragrances. The name seemed silly, so wasnt sure if I could even take the product seriously. However, I was bored with what I had, still disappointed with the balm and was curious to try the cigar blend... Also, stuff seemed overprice... Well, now I know its well worth it ! ! ! ——————————-
