> 24 hourAdds 2 new spirits as well as tokens for beasts, disease, wilds, and strife. Event deck throws chaos into your well laid plans. Great expansion if the base game ever gets stale!

> 24 hourGreat, fairly heavyweight co-op game with terrific theming. Its a 3 hour or so playtime if everyone knows what theyre doing, so not a short play at all, but I love this game.

> 24 hourAn excellent expansion to an already great game. The base game is complicated but good for learning all the systems at play. This introduced a ton of new mechanics and events that make the gameplay less predictable. A great way to improve upon the core game.

> 24 hourI wouldn’t even want to play the vanilla version of Spirit Island anymore. While the game is great as a stand-alone, this expansion adds the depth the original game was missing. First let’s start with the events: they add a degree of randomness to the game that makes it more replayable, and less of the same thing over and over again. Mostly they make the game more difficult, but that’s part of the fun.

> 24 hourI enjoy it a lot. The game is a challenge, but the hardest part seems to be to find enough players to play it often enough.

> 24 hourI will admit, my first game with this expansion had me uneasy because I wasnt ready for the sheer difficulty random events could potentially add. However, later games showed me that it adds a lot of fun to Spirit Island. The base game I play reaaallllyyyy slowly and think everything through, the randomness this expansion adds actually made my games faster because I couldnt control everything, I had to accept somethings were beyond my control. So more fun and faster games make me love this expansion.

> 24 hourThis is a not a must have, but I would highly recommend it. It adds two new spirits and several new game mechanics to an already great game.
