> 24 hourI have crank windows(that open outwards) in my new apartment so it has been very hard to use my portable AC in my bedroom. Using this window seal has been great so that I can keep the cold air in and warm air outside during use. I did have some trouble putting it up myself though since I am short and the window is above my regular reach. I had to have someone else help me install it. No other issues so far though.

> 24 hourMy expectations weren’t high, I have to admit, but this thing worked great on my outward rolling-old type casement windows, much better than I’d even hoped, I can even close and latch the window with it completely still installed. Don’t know about durability yet, the installation wasn’t as bad as I had imagined either. A great answer to casement windows of any type. Mine were 17” wide and 47” tall.

> 24 hourI didn’t find the GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL as easy to install as marketed – but then, again, I’m that kid who put square pegs in round holes. My installation dilemma was that my horizontal window cranked outward, positioning the actually opened window pane on the exterior of the house as opposed to inside the house; and the user’s guide and instructional video on this Amazon’s product page, demonstrated installation with the window extended inside the home. Nonetheless, after a few trials and errors, I was able to install the seal sufficiently enough to prevent air and flying insects from entering the house. The GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL was adorned with dual zippers that allowed for four separate openings; meaning that I was able to provide an opening for the air-conditioning hose outlet with one set of zippers, and the crack on the window with the other set of zippers. The package also included enough adhesive velcro tape on the roll to complete the installation with tape remaining, and both sides of the tape were forgiving; I had to reapply a few pieces of tape several times in order to maneuver the correct placement, and the tape’s adhesive did allow for those initial mistakes and replacement. I was also able to open and close the window, with the seal intact. The nylon material of the GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL appeared sturdy, and perhaps waterproof, but it hasn’t rained since I installed the seal to test that premise. Overall, I appreciate the design of the seal, and once I figured out the configuration of the installation, the appearance was definitely much more appealing than a cardboard insert, from inside and outside the house. I anticipate being able to use the seal for several summer seasons and the nylon appeared machine washable. I did, however, miss the step to secure the zippers with the included zip-ties, but the zipper remained in place without the ties anyway.

> 24 hourI got one of those Dalek air conditioners, but it had no venting tubing and the plastic hose connector was broken. Epoxy and new parts made it work, but it was a trick to vent it out a tiny pantry window. I really expected this kit to be a mess to work with, but it was easy. It doesnt stay put quite as well as I had hoped, but that may be because it was hard to get rid of all the kitchen grease at the edges of the window frame.

> 24 houroriginally i bought the 300 cm bc my son said it was small casement window but after it was measured, realized needed to 400 cm one so quickly ordered the longer one and returned the smaller one. see photo of how it works with outward swinging casement window. can’t really comment yet on durability but so far works well enough to keep bugs out and cool A/C in

> 24 hourThis is supposed to be for a window that cranks IN. Mine cranks OUT (I have never seen windows crank in). I made it work and it works GREAT!!! You just have to remember to close the window before it rains, so the rain doesnt pool on the top.

> 24 hourIf your city is hot, then these will not only melt off your window but make a sticky disaster everywhere. The application is easy but still is tricky to position everything without openings. Not great overall.
