> 3 dayThis was perfect for our window and portable AC. Now unfortunately my window was not exactly like the one in the picture and can open in a way that is split but I found a way to Jerri rig this to fit my needs perfectly.

> 3 dayOther than the cheap glue to hold the velcro onto the window this product works well and is very easy to install. My house was built in 1961 and almost all the windows are original and kind of a weird design but I had no problem with the install. However, where the AC hose vents out the velcro popped off from the weight. The glue really doesnt hold up all that well. Otherwise a useful product which pretty much solved my AC dilemma.

> 3 dayI was so relieved to find this so I could use a portable AC with my stupid crank windows. This thing is really simple to use and gets the job done. Only complaint is that the Velcro isn’t super sticky: I had to reinforce it with duct tape in several places. Not the end of the world though and still highly recommend if you need to make a portable Ac work in stupid windows

> 3 dayApplying the seal was a nice and smooth process, however, the zip ties to keep it closed are too short to wrap around your exhaust tube. Not only that, the zipper is too small to loop it through.

Greater than one weekI have some older windows in my house that I wanted to be able to put a air conditioner vent out this was very easy to install very durable and works as it should

Greater than one weekThis is just what I needed for my single hose portable A/C (though I see it can accommodate two hoses if needed. It is a bit odd to contemplate and visualize at first (I thought), and the illustration with the directions I found bizarre, but the product itself is a great quality and very logical in how it attaches to my window. As the circumference did not quite reach all the way around my window (I did not want a larger size with a lot of gathering to contend with), so I just purchased white painters tape to complete the last 6 near the window hinge area and that seems to work great. Do pay attention and measure your windows.

> 3 dayI got one of those Dalek air conditioners, but it had no venting tubing and the plastic hose connector was broken. Epoxy and new parts made it work, but it was a trick to vent it out a tiny pantry window. I really expected this kit to be a mess to work with, but it was easy. It doesnt stay put quite as well as I had hoped, but that may be because it was hard to get rid of all the kitchen grease at the edges of the window frame.

> 3 dayI didn’t find the GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL as easy to install as marketed – but then, again, I’m that kid who put square pegs in round holes. My installation dilemma was that my horizontal window cranked outward, positioning the actually opened window pane on the exterior of the house as opposed to inside the house; and the user’s guide and instructional video on this Amazon’s product page, demonstrated installation with the window extended inside the home. Nonetheless, after a few trials and errors, I was able to install the seal sufficiently enough to prevent air and flying insects from entering the house. The GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL was adorned with dual zippers that allowed for four separate openings; meaning that I was able to provide an opening for the air-conditioning hose outlet with one set of zippers, and the crack on the window with the other set of zippers. The package also included enough adhesive velcro tape on the roll to complete the installation with tape remaining, and both sides of the tape were forgiving; I had to reapply a few pieces of tape several times in order to maneuver the correct placement, and the tape’s adhesive did allow for those initial mistakes and replacement. I was also able to open and close the window, with the seal intact. The nylon material of the GRUNTBEAR WINDOW SEAL appeared sturdy, and perhaps waterproof, but it hasn’t rained since I installed the seal to test that premise. Overall, I appreciate the design of the seal, and once I figured out the configuration of the installation, the appearance was definitely much more appealing than a cardboard insert, from inside and outside the house. I anticipate being able to use the seal for several summer seasons and the nylon appeared machine washable. I did, however, miss the step to secure the zippers with the included zip-ties, but the zipper remained in place without the ties anyway.
