This wire is a waste of money if you are planning to use soldier less connector clips. Insulation is so hard they cannot be used. Also hard insulation nakes it very difficult to strip back and increases production times making ut economical to use

Do not, under any circumstances buy this wire unless it is to throw it directly into the trash.

Granted, it is cheap, but I found it frustrating to work with. The insulation melts at very low temperature and I was unable to fully wet the wire all the way through with solder. I need to attach one end to a circuit board, but was unable to make a reliable connection. It may work fine for crimp on connectors. I wish I had bought something with solid copper inside.

I bought this product back in May of 2019 and the wire has become brittle. I used it to wire 6 KC Daylighters, everything worked great for a few months then stopped altogether. I had to cut off a minimum of 12 on each wire due to the amount of corrosion. I do not recommend this for automotive use and Im sure marine would be worse.

Im not a speaker fanatic who thinks he can hear differences between wires, but theres no doubt that woofers, especially subs, draw more current than tweeters and mids. Most hook-up wire I use inside speaker boxes is cheap 20-gauge stuff, which works fine for normal listening levels, considering it typically only runs about a foot. But a couple of my more recent projects use, in one case, a pair of large woofers, and in the second, a big powered subwoofer. Anything heavier would be too big to solder into the little holes on crossover circuit boards, but I dont want to lose any power to my woofers, which are pretty inefficient to begin with. So this wire is about perfect. Black are red are the only colors needed for audio purposes, so I dont understand the multi-colored stuff marketed to speaker builders.

There are several reports of problems with soldering or crimping. I have no problem with either. When crimping one should always tin the wire, even crimping stranded solid copper without tinning is not a good idea.
