Greater than one weekIn my photo, Audiopipe is on the left and GS Power is on the right. Un-stripped they are about the same size. Stripped with the same tool you can see the considerable difference in how much wire there is. The Audiopipe insulation is really thick, and if thats what matters (not how much current it can handle) then that is the wire for you. What many sellers DONT say is that they are selling CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum), rather than pure copper wire. Its hard to see in the photo, but each strand of the Audiopipe wire really is a different color on the inside. You can solder it due to the copper coating, but its not copper and that means it will expand more when heated so Id avoid clamp connections. The bottom line is that if you really need 12 AWG and you dont want aluminum wire you should pay the extra price for GS Power. They are honest about what they sell.

Greater than one weekThe cord is really good with nice, thick insulation and fine stranded copper wire. It is very flexible. Please note that the cord is NOT rated for mains AC voltages. This is a LOW VOLTAGE cord (up to 48 volts DC or AC)! The insulation looks like it could be THHN, but its not. I not sure if it is rated for 85°C and the cord is not marked in any way! Finally, the clear plastic outer sheath is very thin and the two wires will separate quite easily. If you are going to be dragging this around, youll need to tape it up to keep the wires together. All in all, this is a good low voltage power or high power speaker cord for stationary or permanent use.

> 3 dayWire is fine. Package looked like it had been used as a soccer ball. No packaging material just item in a box. I know understand why some complained about broken reels. Mine was OK but I dont know why given condition of box and no packing material being used. Nuff said.

> 3 dayI made extension cords for my solar panels using this and power pole connectors. They work great, and you can never have too many extension cords for outdoor portable use.

> 3 dayThis is what I expected and it worked fine for my needs. My gripe is that real copper wire is expensive. However, my review focused on the quality.

> 3 dayThis zip cord has honest - to - size, stranded (>30 strands) copper wire conductors. With a caliper, I measure a diameter of 0.102, and the standard nominal diameter for 12 awg is 0.104. Insulation looks good, too. Walls are certainly thick enough for low - voltage use, and even for 120VAC use, though this is not the recommended application. Outstanding value at this price!

> 3 dayTRUE!!!! Perfect for car audio! Im using this to run two 12 Rockford Fosgate P3D2 subwoofers on an Hifonics Zeus 1200 mono block amplifier. Its pretty hard to find real, true OFC pure copper wire. But look no further! This wire is awesome! It comes in almost any Guage/length you need and is perfect for car systems. I will definitely buy again!
