This is a great mug for the price. It keeps drinks hot for a reasonable amount of time, though not as long as a heavier vacuum sealed cup. My only complaint is that the hinge on the lid will pop itself open if the liquid is too hot. Other than that, it is very lightweight and keeps you from scalding your hands.

Love this thing for backpacking. Its easy to clean, light to carry, and protects my hands from the hot drink/food, while keeping the food/drinks warmer longer.

Used for a coffee mug and measuring cup for a trip into boundary waters. This was worth carrying in my kit. I do carry titanium pots but not having to deal with hot lips or silicone bands is nice.

I bought this and another one for camping. They are my favorite camping coffee mug so far. Lightweight plastic that stands up to boiling hot water. The cover slips on and off easily (but does not come off until you want it to.). It also keeps you from burning your hands on a hot mug. The lid is secure. My husband said he would use this in daily life as well, only I wont let him because i keep these stored in the camping totes so we wont forget them!

This is literally the best cup you could get for backpack. I love it, wished I’d had it many years ago.
