21-11-2024I bought this little feller to make TicToc videos. Hell only work perfectly when you stick your hand inside him though and mimic his voice like I do. What can I say? Im a big baby!

> 3 dayThis is a great puppet but the mouth is kind of hard to move. Weve made it work but an easier moving mouth would make this a five star product.

> 3 dayDecent puppet. Very soft and well constructed. Fits an adult hand well but the mouth is very stiff and hard to articulate.

> 3 dayThis is definitely a budget Elmo. Bought this to make videos where Elmo sings along to songs by Lil Shordie Scott. I read a bunch of reviews that either said the mouth was too stiff to move, or that the puppet had been updated to one that was easier to use. Unfortunately, the one I got is incredibly hard to make the mouth open and close. Youd have to have a very strong, enduring thumb to make it move for more than a few minutes. The mouth is lined with felt on the outside, and is made of a mildly flexible, stiff plastic which is exposed on the inside where you put your hand. It has a smooth texture that feels fine to use. The red fabric on the outside is very soft. Elmo also doesnt really have a neck, his body is sort of a tube continuing off his head. It gets the job done for some short 15-30 sec clips at a low price point!

> 3 dayThis pupet is well constructed and my son loves it. My only gripe is that the material used to construct the mouth, what I think is fabric coverd plastic, is so stiff that it is very difficult to open and close the mouth. Ive tried to bend and manipulate the material to soften it to no avail. Even with that issue Id buy it again considering how much my son loves him.

> 3 dayIt doesnt quite look like elmo and the mouth is really stiff. My 2 y/o does not really care though as long as Im working it and speaking in a ridiculous voice.

> 3 dayWe got this for my sons 1st birthday since he loves Cookie Monster. He was over joyed when he first seen it and loves when we put the puppet on his hand. It is really good quality. As some have mentioned its hard to move the mouth and arms at the same time, so you have to choose one or the other. Either way we are glad we bought it!!

> 3 dayPros: quality of the material is good and Elmos expression looks always fun/happy (at least the 1st unit we got in 2009; the 2nd unit we got in 2010 has a thicker neck and the nose is more roundish; the color of the 2nd unit is also more orangish). Cons: Its hard to maneuver hands and mouth at the same time as it is, but I put rolled card paper inside the arms to harden them and make them easier to move. The mouth structure is a hard plastic that is difficult to open/close, but I found that you can use one hand to move the arms and open the upper part of the mouth and another hand to hold the lower part of the mouth. With practice, it works, although it gets me tired after 5 min. The body of the puppet should be stuffed so Elmo would look more realistic when hands are in. It probably wont fit large hands. The 2nd unit we got has a more stuffed head and softer mouth structure plastic. Practice your Elmo voice and have fun!
