Feels cheap

Ive used many types of iron holders, many cheap and many mediocre. I decided to look for a better quality one, and found this one. I purchased via Amazon Prime and arrived quick, opened the box and was surprised on how well it was made. Sturdy, and the iron sits in place without wobble or fearing it might slip out. I definitely recommend this to anyone willing to play just a bit more for better design and quality.

Its a great fit for my Weller iron. Feels sturdy, doesnt feel like its going to tip over with normal use.

This was purchased to hold my Hakko 808 de-soldering gun. PRO: This is a simple, cleanly designed holder and strongly constructed. The included 599B wire-sponge tip cleaner does an excellent job. CON: This is listed as an accessory for the 808 de-soldering gun. While it is more than heavy enough to not tip over when a regular soldering iron is in it, the thick power cord and additional weight at the back end of the de-soldering gun throws off the balance of the whole assembly. Mine hasnt taken a dive off the bench yet but you can feel that it wants to. Putting additional weight in the depression just behind the tip cleaner helps quite a bit. OVERALL: This is a good product for use with soldering irons. I would not recommend it for the de-soldering gun unless you add additional weight or affix it to the bench.

Its stable and fits the desoldering tool just fine. I have no complaints.

The perfect stand for the perfect soldering iron. It is very sturdy and easy to move around without worrying about burning my hand. The brass tip cleaner keeps my point nice and shiny.
