> 3 dayEasily selectable light temp switch on the transformer box and uses the high quality Halo quick connectors and knockouts if you are familiar with their products. Ordered cheap no name knockoffs along along with these and there was a fair amount of difference in quality. Cheap lights boxes bend when removing metallic knockouts, all plastic back on light instead of metal. The Halos are much pricier but as they say you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayOne out of the 4 lights we ordered started flickering. It was too late to return it, even though it was only a couple months, so we had to purchase another light. We also had to pay an electrician to come out again.

> 3 dayI first bought LED lights from Costco, but they only dimmed about 30% before flickering (I installed the Lutron TGCL-153PR-WH dimmer switch). Then I bought the Tayola LED light off Amazon with same result, only about 30% dimming before flickering. Then I bought the HALO HLB6099FS1EMWR off Amazon. YEAH, no flicker when dimming all the way down to the light being barely on. Fantastic! I gave it only 3 stars for installation because it cannot use the existing 3 or 4 inch hole from the old light fixture, it needed a 6 inch hole. Not a huge problem, but it has to be done quite exactly because the outside edge of the new HALO light fixture only overlaps the hole by maybe 3/8 inch. If the hole gets cut too wide it would make a BIG problem. But I got it done and I love the lights! I replaced a 45 year old incandescent light fixture in a 9 x 13 bedroom. The light fixture was right next to the closet at the far end of the room and adjacent to the only window. The other end of the room, by the door, was always dark. I added a second new light toward the other end of the room. It is awesome now, thanks HALO!

> 3 dayI wasnt sure if the electrical box could be touching insulation or had to mounted higher up on a truss or rafter. The instructions say to mount the box per local electrical code which is completely useless for the DIYer. I ended up mounting the box to the top of a truss just to be safe but that limited where I could place the light because the cord from the box to the light is short.

> 3 dayGreat 6” recessed wafer lights. However there are two driver box styles, one with the switch directly on the side and one with the switch offers to the side. The style with the switch directly on the side has a poor internal layout that is much harder to work with when wiring, to the point I’d consider returning them for the other style had I not already fought through installing them. For the better driver boxes I’d give five stars, but for the other driver style I’d give three to four stars just because of the inconvenience.

> 3 dayOrdered a brand new set of lights and before I even opened the package I could tell this was from a return. The box is covered in tape and has clearly been returned.

> 3 dayI didnt install them. The lights I ordered came in packages look like theyre used. Returned. I ordered halo SMD same size 6 5000k round trim. HLB is smaller compare to SMD. SMD doesnt need J-box or housing. SMD has 600 lumens brighness.
