Hangman Anti-Tip Kit to Prevent Furniture Falling-Steel (TK-400-2)

Great design, easy to use. However I question their quality control based on what I received and what others have written. One of the cotter pin bolts did not have the hole drilled through for the cotter pin to attach.

Ive been using this brand of anti-tip device for a few years now and theyre great. They install quickly into a stud and onto your furniture piece. Ive used them on bookshelves, tall dressers, and display cabinets. Recently I bought some open shelving for my office and didnt want to drill into the metal frame, so I bought some 1/16 steel cable with thimbles and crimp connectors to wrap around the frame and this has worked very well too. A couple of times Ive forgotten about them and tried to move a tall bookshelf away from the wall that had these on it -- and in my accidental stress tests these things have been really sturdy.

Overall, im very satisfied with this product. I was able to use 5 of the 6 kits in this set with no problems. But one had a defect where the holes for the clevis pin were not aligned properly (see photo). I have contacted the manufacturer about this issue. One tip for installation: if you install the wall bracket first, dont just drill the hole for the furniture bracket in the center of your furniture, because most likely it wont be aligned with the wall bracket. Instead, mark where you want your furniture on the wall, then measure from one marking to the center of the wall bracket that you installed. Then measure that same distance from the same side of your furniture towards the middle of the furniture. Then mark that spot as the horizontal location of your furniture bracket.

Great quality and easy to install. Worked perfectly for securing our entertainment center to the wall. Highly recommended!

Dresser will never tip over again. Son knocked over dresser, luckily he didnt get stuck under it, he was fast enough to get out of the way. These are super tough, and there is no way a child, much less an adult can overcome these

It was the exact thing we needed to keep kids from pulling over a heavy dresser. Not difficult to install and works great.

super easy to install. Installed on 4 7 bookshelves. Hopefully this will prevent any horrific tipping accidents to boys who like to climb.
