I specifically purchased this backpack for my trip and it worked great. I used this bag recently for 2 Spirit Airlines flights as my personal item which is included with your ticket and needs to fit under the seat. It worked great! All of the different pockets were nice and the fact that it opens all the way up was really helpful for packing. I did put a laptop in the back compartment and it was nicely padded. Straps were comfy and the water bottle holder was big enough for my refillable water bottle. I did not use the expandable zippered section, so I am not sure if that would have made it too big for the Spirit personal item dimensions.

Used it this past month and if you do not over stuff it there should be no issues with taking it as personal item. It’s an amazing bag! Very durable and so much storage.

Fit perfectly. I didn’t overstuff. They did ask me to measure each flight, but it always fit! March 2023 flight.

I was on Spirit airline and it fit the personal item! Took 5 days of clothes small makeup bag and extra pair of shoes!!! 10/10 Lots of pockets!!!! It’s a must have for flying the cheap airlines!!!

This bag is a game changer. It fits perfectly as a personal item for budget airlines (as long as you don’t use the expander zipper) and fits everything I need for a few day trip. Say goodbye to ridiculous carryon fees and buy yourself this bag! We have two - one for each of us in our marriage!

This bag is massive! There is a pocket for everything. The pocket for a laptop hold my 15 laptop and my iPod with no problems. I mainly use it for work because I often take work home with me. There really is a spot for everything.

I love the backpack! A lot can be fitted and it perfectly fits under the seat on an airplane! A very good option for a week or less holiday!

Used this specifically for a Spirit airlines flight for a 3 day trip to Florida. Everything fit nicely (I used a couple of packing cubes). I did not open the expander zipper but it fit my huge work laptop (17 inch HP laptop) and enough essentials for my stay. This bookbag was my free personal item. I put my flat clutch purse in the bag so they wouldn’t get me for having two personal items. It fit under the seat but I put it in the overhead storage. Without overpacking it and opening the expander, it fit in their personal item measuring unit at the airport perfectly. LIKE a glove. You’re better off flying delta if you have to check a bag or pay for a carry on with spirit bc those spirit baggage fees are outrageous! Don’t let ‘em get ya!

This meets airline standards for carry on. I love the ease of packing with this bag. It opens like a piece of luggage. Lots of pockets for keeping items handy like phones, charging cables and documents. This is my go to bag for travel.

A lot bigger than expected, did a trial pack for a trip over the weekend and still have room to fit more things! Definitely excited about this purchase
