Greater than one weekFYI this set is made in China, it is a German company, and the red hammer head is plastic, as are the screws, not wood. Its a cute starter set.

> 3 dayBought this for my daughters third b-day and it is great! She is a bit young to use it in the intended manner (particularly using nuts and bolts to bolt stuff together is a little beyond her), but she loves using the tools to fix stuff and likes taking the pieces apart after I put them together for her. Its all good quality stuff. In fact, the wooden tool box and tools are well built and well finished, so no worries when her younger sister chews on it (though I would prefer she didnt). I wish more of the fasteners came with the set, but this is a great starter set and she enjoys having her own tools to use. After 4-5 months of playing with it, the tools and fasteners still are in great shape (a couple bite marks here and there notwithstanding)and she hasnt lost interest yet - perhaps the biggest endorsement of all for a 3 year olds toy!

> 3 dayMy three-year-old loves this set. The description says it comes with a vise and a ruler. It does not. The photo is accurate, though. The nails and nuts/bolts are made with plastic, everything else is wood. I saw others said their kid doesnt use the screwdriver or wrench....it must depend on the person, because my daughter uses both of them, as well as the hammer. Pros: Made by Hape, so made with non-toxic materials & quality workmanship Perfect size for a 2-4 year old Teaches eye-hand coordination Allows child to work with their own tools (especially helpful when parent is trying to use adult tools) Durable Cons: Wish it had more nails and nuts/bolts or the ability to purchase extras

Greater than one weekGreat quality and loved by my almost 2 year old. I think this will be used and played with for a long time. He doesnt use the screws/nails much yet but I think hell enjoy that part when he is a little older.

> 3 dayWe are giving this to our grandson on his 3rd birthday. His dad is building a new house for the family so this will be perfect so he can learn to help! The toy tool box is very well made and solid wood. The nuts, bolts, and nails are a solid plastic. Five Stars!

20-11-2024Quality product. Baby immediately interested, but began hammering everything. Watch small kids as they may smash things up with hammer. Be careful with screwdriver also. We had to confiscate it as a precaution.
