My own vacuum came with a floor brush, but synthetic black very short bristles that didn’t pick up a lot. I have three dogs, live on a dirt road and as you can imagine, lots of sand and dog hair. This brush will pick it all up really well without continuing to vacuum the same area several times. Buy it, you’ll love it!

I initially purchased this to allow the use of my shop-vac on my hardwood floors. The attachment works great, although my plan was ill conceived. I envisioned sucking up dust bunnies and cat hair like a champ, which the attachment itself does well; however, my shop-vacs air discharge stirs up far more dust than I suck up. It is also worth mentioning that I tried using this to tackle the cat hair accumulated on my carpeted stairs. The attachment does well at pulling the pet hair from the stairs. It is, however, necessary to removed it every so often and suck the hair out of the bristles with the hose.

My friend is a hardwood floor installer and she suggested I get one of these for my prefinished hardwood floors as those naturally have grooves between the slats. I was blown away at how much faster it was to just vacuum rather than dust mop. I also have a cowhide rug that doesnt take well to the powerful suction of a normal vacuum. This attachment has totally improved my cleaning ability for that rug! Highly suggest for real cowhide rugs.

I have a Kenmore canister vacuum which is the bane of my existence (sorry, Kenmore!). It’s really not the vacuum’s or Kenmore’s fault, I just HATE vacuuming. In my experience ALL vacuums, canister or upright or stick or whatever, have their own fatal flaw. I hate dragging around the canister with its cord and tubes getting tangled and the body of the canister running into walls and getting trapped in doorways etc. BUT it does work really well and I can get way under couches and things and reach up to vents and ceiling fans so I just have to deal. The hard floor attachment it came with is horrid, absolutely horrid!! It squeaks loudly if not held at the precise non-squeaking angle (fingernails on a chalkboard squeaking!), and it was very wide with large dead spots on either end that got no suction and could not clean the last 2 inches from the wall. I had to change out the attachment for a separate attachment with a soft circular brush to get in the corners, which sure like I want to be bending over doing that all the time and going over the same areas twice! Thanks, Kenmore! So poorly designed! This has saved my sanity. No more squeaking. The suction goes out to the edges. It pivots beautifully. Why oh why did I put up with that other thing for years??!! I was about to spend $800 on a new vacuum, which I’m sure would have its own issues BECAUSE THEY ALL DO, and this has basically made it so I don’t have to. If you are even thinking you might need this then just get it already.

I clean houses for a living & stopped using 2 vacuums many years ago (1 for carpets & 1 for floors). I have a decent Shark vacuum that is supposed to work for both, but Ive never been happy with any upright switching to bare floors. I wanted this attachment for that purpose, and it works like a charm. I use it on ceramic tile, laminate, and wood floors. Good suction, gets up kitchen crumbs, human & pet hair. I did need to buy an adapter for my particular vacuum, but this seems to be a standard size & will probably fit many vacuums out there. With the adapter, it fits perfectly on my vacuum. I used this floor brush for the first time yesterday. Wow! That was easy! Ive never vacuumed my house so quickly. The bristles work great on hardwood floors and even do an excellent job on small rugs. Just step on one of the short sides of the rug and vacuum away from you. Turn the rug 180 degrees and do the other half. And I used the vacuum suction to move and spin the rugs. Couldnt be easier. The cut away bristles on the front of the brush allow vacuum suction to pull dirt in while the back bristles scoops it up. And the swivel head works perfectly to get easily around and under things. I even vacuumed thoroughly under the bed in less than a minute. Couldnt be happier with this purchase. Excellent high-quality vacuum cleaner attachment. Thank you.

It sucks like its supposed to.

I bought this as an attachment for my Bissel canister vac and its perfect for my hardwood floors! The one that came with the vac was just plastic and I was afraid it would scratch my new floors. This is very soft against the wood and doesnt seem to hinder the suction of the vacuum at all.

I used this with my OLD Electrolux canister vac. the fit is good, the brush is great on hardwood & picks up Westie dog fur on my carpet very well. Its a low profile brush which allows it to go under low furn. I think it will fit my Bissell Zing, as well, the brush that came w/it -not the best. I am happy w/ purchase.
