I previously used the brown Hario V60 filters, but switched over to the white filters because a lot of coffeeheads say the white filters dont leave a papery taste in your coffee. I honestly dont know how much of a difference it made, but Im satisfied with the white filters. They dont tear easily when wet, and I definitely dont notice any papery taste in my brews. The price isnt bad for 200 filters, and they fit the Hario V60 dripper perfectly, so why go with anything else?

The price paid for these on Amazon far beats any local prices. When it comes to paper filters and any pourover, its all about filtration and flavor. These do a great job on filtering, and yes, theres a flavor, but what do you expect. Yes, I rinse the filter with boiling water before using it, but if youve ever used one of the natural filters, youll be more than happy with a little paper flavor. When I say paper flavor, its nothing like a Chemex (which has a ton of paper flavor), and its not like an Aeropress with a metal filter that has no paper to add flavor (but you get sediment), but its there when you have a paperless method to compare it to. In all, I use my V60 95% of the time with these filters and love it. Just make sure you always get the white ones and not the natural ones, unless that is you live the flavor of cardboard. . . . . You can rinse them all day in boiling water and youll still taste like cardboard.

I bought these to use with a Hario V60 pourover unit. I have probably gone though 150 of them and plan to order more. Its a simple product and worked perfectly, but here are two tips to make your coffee brewing life easier: Fold the crease so that it stays in a cone shape in the pourover unit, if you leave it unfolded it wont sit flush and water might find it easier to flow down the channel left, possibly changing the taste of your coffee. When you presoak the filter before adding the grounds just do a quick circle of water around the middle, the water will travel and saturate the rest of the filter in a few seconds. Ive used these nearly everyday and would absolutely buy them again.

Petes sold these awesome, but somewhat pricey, Hario V60 glass funnel filters, that take chemist-style funnel extraction papers. Then Petes stopped stocking the filters, going for cheaper crummy brands instead. These are not the subpar square-bottom (trapezoidal) Melita filters, these are the true pointy Hario filters that work best! Extract your coffee like a true chemist. And Amazon sells them cheaper in higher quantity than Petes did. By the way, at the same time, I bought two of the Hario V60 Paper Stands from Amazon, these are very nice. Nice respect for the morning coffee ritual.

I have purchased fewer count exact same item for more at the store. Great value.
