> 3 daySound is Superb! Am kinda of audiophile/basic not very deep with expensive thousands $ gadgets but particular with how device and instruments could sounds more efficient and melodies as I enjoy more of it (correct balance of all sounds high/mid/low and how they compliment all together ) than the the lyrics :) as I want to feel every songs new n differently with right driver even which I have already heard I have owned almost all top model of all brands pertaining to portable BTs including BOSE revolve and Touch 30. This one is really awesome and my fav right now. Base is not over punchy but fill the surrounds like thumping of Big Drums. Mid is very little bit dim but you can correct it using Equalizer from source. Am happy and Proud.

> 3 dayI got this for my birthday recently after shopping for it myself and telling my wife I wanted it. The sound is good but less high fidelity than I was expecting based on reading a number of the 5 star Amazon reviews. The bass is good for a speaker its size but the midrange and highs dont blow me away. I think the mids and highs from my daughters JBL Charge 3 are better while the Charge and Onyx are similarly priced. This seems about on par in the mids and highs with my Amazon Alexa first generation though the bass on the Onyx is clearly better. The Onyx arent terrible by any means but just not what I was expecting. It connects easily to my Android phones Bluetooth and the battery lasts so far for the advertised 8 hours. Ive answered a couple phone calls through it without a problem as well.

> 3 dayI love listening to this speaker with my bluetooth systems! The bass is outstanding! Just wish there were a little tweeter in there somewhere to enhance the highs. You dont really hear things like symbols and other high pitch instruments that well. Natural voices are okay. Still give it 5 stars for quality.

> 3 dayMy sister had the previous version of this speaker, so I’m well accustomed to the type of speaker. I brought this for my home after using my sisters for over a year. Best speaker I’ve used, great sound and great Bluetooth connectivity!

> 3 dayLOVE LOVE LOVE this wireless Bluetooth portable speaker. The sound is much clearer and more powerful than the 3 others I tried, including the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus which sells for $250+. Regarding the term portable - this speaker is larger and heavier than most portable speakers on the market, and I do NOT use it outside. For my needs, which is to have great-sounding music in any room, within the confines of my apartment, it is perfect. While it is not multi-directional sound, like the Bose Soundlink Revolve+, the sound quality is so superior, it renders that feature unimportant. For now, I have one of the HK Onyx Studio 4 wireless speakers, but I plan to buy another one, and two will link together to give true stereo sound. Still, even with just one, it is fantastic. The only small criticism I have is the way the volume buttons are difficult to locate/see. It requires good light and/or feeling around for them on the top of the speaker to find them. My fix: I set the speakers volume up to the highest level, and then use my iPhone (or my laptop, if Im paired to that) to control the volume - which works very well.

> 3 dayHello, I thought I would help anyone interested in a superb Bluetooth speaker. The Harmon Kardon Onyx is one of my fav. Speakers. This model is their 4th generation. The speaker has amazing full range sound being from low to mid to high. The speaker does retail for a lot and is well worth it. I use to have the second gen and just recently had to upgrade to the new model. The battery life is not too bad. About 9 hours of play back. You can leave it plugged in charging and use it at the same time. Also their is a HK App. Someone gave it terrible reviews, not sure what their prob is. The speaker does have the option to do stereo sound with another one or even do multi room audio with a bunch connected together. The app is where you can set it up those features. Also in the app has battery status in. You can also tell when your power button light starts blinking your speaker is low on juice. set up your speaker to use Siri with the hi app with the press of a button or just say hey Siri. Works fine too. You can’t go wrong with this speaker. For the price and quality and the sound. You will be amazed. Also one thing Harmon gets right is bass, it’s just right and works.

Greater than one weekSound quality is decent. My gripe is about the connectivity. I bought two of these. The HK connect works, but it’s when you leave the area that the problems start. When you leave the home it disconnects (as expected) but when you re-enter the area the speakers recognize that you’re there but they don’t connect to your device. Then, when you go to your device (In my case my phone) to reconnect it connects but only plays for 30 seconds before it un-syncs automatically. You then have to physically walk up to the speakers to hit the Bluetooth button to reconnect and then use the HK sync. This was just very inconvenient and caused me to return them. If you don’t mind having to physically connect to these each time they might be for you.
