> 24 hourThis is a very low quality wire for the price per foot. The insulation is nearly non existent. The strands are brittle and thick. I could have bought stranded 12 gauge home wiring and got better quality for a fraction of the cost. very disappointed. Usually the distinction between 12 and 14 in night and day. I am not even sure this is 14 gauge wire. 3 things usually occur from this jump. The diameter. The strands are usually much thinner than 14 and there more more pliable. The insulation is usually massively thicker.

> 24 hourThis is the perfect compromise cable size and quality. It will eliminate any concern about excessive resistance and capacitance at average distance runs. Its easy to work with.

> 24 hourIs pure copper better than an alloy? Do you need more, fine strands to properly carry the high frequencies? Will better wire make your speakers sound better? I dont know. You probably wont know either. With the proper instruments and an anechoic chamber, you could probably measure the differences. I bought this to ensure I had adequate capabilities for the upgraded surround sound speakers (Polk) I purchased. I know gauge helps with the raw power aspects and the number of strands helps with the higher frequencies as they travel along the surface of the wire. I feel both of these were adequate for my needs and I will buy again for side speakers when I implement those. I was asked to review on dimension called stretch. Yeah, it didnt and my cable stretcher is out for repair.

> 24 hourWorks well at the church, but this wire is not spectacular sounding or rated for in wall installation. Im an audiophile, so I know what to expect from glorified 12 guage zip cord. It does lend itself to be flexible for non critical uses. It is far better than smaller gauge wire but is definitely not made of Oxygen free Copper of high purity.
