Easy to use, easy to learn, shows the materials list, changes to design are easy, it is a fantastic program

After my computer crash I ordered this new version of my 10year old previous Home Designer Suite. Surprised to find very little difference from the old one. Easy to use for on the spot designing, great features, and great value for the price. No complaints but hate the fact that you now have to click an icon to move the design. Great design program for quick, easy layouts.

I use this software to draw floorplans for renovation, marketing, and construction. It is the best that I have been able to find. I have bought this for three different computers. Tech support actually answers the phone and is helpful when needed.

When I had Windows 7, I had this and couldnt get enough of it! Fun to use and it can meet the needs of most creative minds!

Purchased the Home Designer Suite 2020 to assist in the design of new home. It was easy to install and in less than a week I had an acceptable model of my future building project that I could evaluate in 3D format! I does require some study due to the numerous options and details. I contacted the technical assistance number and had excellent response to fix my problem. Saved a lot of back and forth with an architect and great for a DIY guy.

Not as user friendly as an older model that I used.

this product dos not operate as a casual user (or a person who has reviewed and developed many plans on paper) would expect, and learning tools are neither obvious nor straight forward. For example, drawing a simple floorplan has taken a lot of iteration (and I am an experienced engineer and computer programmer). I expect it will take tens of hours of trial-and-error and repetition ot develop skill in use.

This product made my computer shut down, couldnt get it to work. Once I removed the software, computer is fine.

A lot of reviewers had or have concerns about the steep learning curve of Home Designer software. I didnt. Yes I would have liked to see a more basic training video as the current one starts off fast. However, like all programs of this type you have to work with the various icons to see how they work. Within a couple of hours I had completed the layout of a new addition that I am considering. Was able to work with dimensions, moving walls, labeling, put on various door styles and everything that I needed. The information you need is somewhere and usually easy to understand.
