hoping i would be able to input the correct number in the size box...

Bought this to design our new house and quickly became addicted. It’s like the greatest video game ever created! I was familiar with Chief Architect so it was like riding a bike but some may find it to be not very user friendly.

Easy to use, easy to learn, shows the materials list, changes to design are easy, it is a fantastic program

I purchased the 2020 edition and even the Get Started Guide doesnt work! After 35 years in tech support I know that the first thing you do with a new release is MAKE SURE the Get Started Guide works. I am returning mine to the company.

Plumbing fixtures and dimensions are not available. Makes it pretty hard to plan basic space requirements. the product is quite quirky and requires multiple actions to adjust the working drawing. In hind sight, I should have purchased the more expensive product from another company. Whats more aggravating... this product is non refundable.

This was a gift for a valued friend who has used the same application on my home computer. I have used the home designer for several years and found it helpful for communicating with our architect and designer when we added a new room to our house. Its powerful enough for the average home owner. While its easy to learn the basics, it is robust enough to make it difficult to learn everything there is to know about its capabilities. Having the entire application suite delivered on a thumb drive makes it easy to give it as a gift.

I was able to start very quickly and build a basic floorplan. The program has amazing details that can be incorporated and it is easy to learn from the extensive video library.

Its pretty simple ! download and get started and tech support is there to help.

I have followed along with the tutorials and am now trying to build my own plans. What should be simple resizing of exterior walls makes me want to throw my computer out the window. I am doing what I learned in the tutorials, but every adjustment I make affects other walls than the one I am trying to adjust. Hopefully I can return this ridiculous program and find a more user-friendly one. This one is a mess!

It is a good program but takes time to learn.
