Greater than one weekWorks great. Really gets the rugs clean. If you have a large area this may be a bit small. I foster dogs and they have hair everywhere. This definitely gets what the vacuum misses.

> 3 dayHave had this cleaner since October 2021 and overall its a great cleaner for the price point. It is not a professional grade unit, but it does a very good job for home use. There are three drawbacks I can list: • SMALL TANKS - First, both the cleaning solution tank and the dirty water tank are small. So if you have a lot of square footage to clean, you will need to stop frequently to empty the dirty water and refill your cleaning solution. • INADEQUATE SUCTION - Secondly, the suction power is less than with a commercial cleaner so (a) youll need to go over each area slowly and multiple times, and (b) youll probably need to go over each area again with water only in order to make sure theres no residue left behind. • CHEAPLY MADE PARTS - And lastly, at least in my case, the cleaning solution tank was very cheaply made and after only about half a dozen uses it broke. Just before writing this review I was all ready to clean my carpets when I discovered the cap for the tank had deteriorated since the last use, so I had to go to Hoovers website to order a replacement part. After only half a dozen uses, thats disappointing. I have messaged Hoover after ordering the replacement part. Hopefully they will refund the purchase price to make it right. If so I will update this review.

> 3 dayI dont have a long history with wet vacs for comparison. And I had hoped to find a handheld cat barf cleaner, which is a common occurrence around my house of three cats, 2 are seniors. Plus I have a toddler, need I say more? But after reading many reviews, I opted for this unit instead of a handheld. I put off putting it together for a week thinking it would be a pain in the butt to assemble, despite reviews saying that it was easy. That was a mistake in and of itself, as it is *extraordinarily* easy to put together and can be done and ready to use in 5 minutes or less. No tools required, no points of frustration. Because I put off putting it together, I had a couple of spots of cat barf sitting on my brand new carpet. I had spot treated them, but now the carpet was crispy where I had cleaned them manually. My eldest cat threw up again and I thought enough is enough, I need to put this thing together. I retreated the old spots and got them wet again with some vinegar and water. I cleaned up the old and new spots and confirmed with a black light flashlight that they were 100% clean. Let me repeat that, 100% clean! And the old spots were soft again once the carpet dried. This thing is saving my new carpet. Im about to sell my house so its critical that I have perfect carpet, as I spent good money to get good thick carpet and padding (before I knew I was selling). Could you clean your whole room? Oh yeah, definitely. You might have to refill the tank, but they built it in such a way its so easy to refill, AND8 clean, It would be no trouble at all to clean an entire room. It has separate clean and dirty water tanks. And you need very little concentrated cleaning fluid for the soap to water ratio. So even the sample that comes with it is enough to last a while, even though I went ahead and purchased a large container from the get-go. It will probably last me a lifetime. I almost wish my cats would pee on the carpet so I can test that, but lets not get crazy here. I do believe that this unit would clean up cat urine completely though. Its so thorough! You cant get your carpet clean without good suction, and this sucker has GREAT suction. The carpet is almost dry when the job is complete. And the carpet is completely dry within an hour, leaving it soft and like new again. I cant speak to it cleaning stairs, as I dont have any stairs in my home. I can imagine it might be a bit of a pain. But I think that stairs are going to be a pain no matter what unit you use. Theres no handheld attached, If thats something youre looking for. But it was excellent at cleaning right against the wall too. I was thinking about paying the super big bucks to get wood floors throughout my new home thats being built, for the sole reason that my senior cats throw up. Having this unit buys me peace of mind that I can get carpet in my bedrooms, which I prefer. This little lightweight unit will save me at least $10k, by opting for carpet in my bedrooms instead of wood, and having the peace of mind that I can clean any mess. Can you tell I love this unit yet? You will too. I havent had it long enough to speak to longevity. But it seems like a solid unit. I personally think the price point is appropriate too.

Greater than one weekThis particular version of the Hoover line of carpet cleaners is truly a 5-star product because every aspect of it, from design to operation and maintenance, appears to have been successfully thought through and seemingly improved from what I read about earlier or less expensive models. This model is great for cleaning up small areas with pet messes or dirt. Its not meant to be a whole-house solution (like the Bissell Green Machine), but it does what it advertises. Its lightweight and easy to maneuver; it is easy to fill the cleaning tank with water and cleaning fluid; its super-easy to see how much cleaning solution is left because its made of clear plastic. Emptying the dirty water tank and removing the brush roll cover are not quite as graceful but work reasonably well. The model comes with really good accessories, including a brush cleaning tool and very helpfully, an attachment that enables the cleaning of stairs. Hoover has created very good, to-the-point YouTube videos explaining how to operate the cleaner, how to clean it, and also another video on advanced maintenance.

> 3 dayWe have 23 year-old carpet. Planning to replace with hard flooring, but we have a 3 month old puppy, so...waiting until hes potty trained. Anyway, I vacuum once a week (more if necessary) with a Dyson vacuum. I steam clean the carpet at least once a year (just me, the hubby and 2 dogs, so not tons of foot traffic). We always remove our shoes in our mudroom, and dogs enter/exit through there too. When I went to clean my carpet this weekend, my old heavy Hoover died half-way through my living room. I hopped online, frustrated I couldnt get my weekend project done, and not looking forward to spending a fortune on a new unit. I found this on Amazon and couldnt believe an inexpensive cleaner would do a good job, but the reviews were good AND I could get it overnight! I could still get the project done over the weekend! As promised, the machine was delivered right away in the morning. Assembly was a breeze (handle, post, water reservoir and dirty water reservoir). I LOVE that the on/off power is a foot pedal! Genius! I love the lightweight design, too. Pushing/pulling this Hoover around my living room was SO much easier on my back and knees than my last dinosaur! 3 downsides: This unit isnt as wide, so it takes more passes to clean each room. The water reservoirs are also smaller, so more trips to add water and dump dirty water. Cleaning this machine after use and before storing it is a bit involved. To remove the brush roller to clean, 6 screws need to be removed to take it out. BUT...those 3 minor downsides are MORE than made up for by how FLOORED I was (see what I did there?) at how great this unit performed! My carpet is dark beige, and I thought it wasnt dirty. My old unit died half-way through my living room, so I went back over that already-cleaned part first to get used to the new machine. OMG, the dirt, hair, fuzz and sand (where the heck???) that came out of the cleaned area!! I cleaned 4 foot square sections at a time (shampoo solution first, then back over with only water, then back over a 3rd time to remove as much moisture as possible). Ew, the stuff I got out was incredible. The powerful suction of this little Hoover did a great job of removing water, but also raising the nap of the carpet! My carpet doesnt look new, but it looks SO much better, feels clean and soft. For the price, you cant go wrong with this little powerhouse! So glad I took a chance and bought it!

> 3 dayPut the item together following instructions. Started to test it on one of my carpets.Pushed the trigger and NO water came out.I rechecked everything and tried again with no luck Ive never had a problem with Hoover products until now Very disappointing. Money wasted and now Ill have to rent a carpet cleaner to do my carpets--more money. Cant send it back for a refund because you cant get the handle pole out after it snaps in.Don t waste your money on this one. UPDATE. I was able to return the carpet cleaner after talking with a great customer service employee She told me how to pack it for return. Amazon shipped me a new one in exchange without any problems .I tested the cleaner and it did a great job. Trust customer service to help you through any problems Super service...

> 3 dayI had a good eureka carpet cleaner but sadly it doesn’t work anymore. After much research and reading tones of reviews, I decided to get this Hoover because research and reviews stated it worked good on “Pet” cleaning stains. I must say, I am satisfied with cleaner. It worked great at pulling up dirt and pet hair from carpet. One thing that wasn’t desirable was when I turned off the cleaner to empty there was dirty water puddled out. I’m am sure if this is normal or a problem. I did get the rubber mat and sat the cleaner on it so most of the water coming would be on it and not on the carpet.

> 3 dayFor the price and size it does really good justice.
