Usual high quality HP cartridge. Definitely over-priced hence I took away 1-star.

I recently dropped over $400 for a set of 4 toner cartridges (M/C/Y/B) for my HP printer, at over $100 EACH. Every time you change a cartridge, the machine asks for permission to check for counterfeits - It says nice things to you if you use genuine high-priced HP toner. Dont know what the printer might do if I put in a generic and fessed up. Would it get permanently bricked? Burst into flame? Would a SWAT team get dispatched? The price is absurd, since you can get a complete set of 4 cartridges generic for $47 total! Ive been using generics, and they seem to be fine.

Also, ignore the very low warnings from the printer once youve printed around the rated number of copies. Ive found that these have hundreds more pages left, even after the very low warnings start. If this was a high-volume paycheck printer, Id replace the toner when warned - but for a small desktop printer, get a spare cartridge, and only swap it out when you start getting missing streaks on the pages.
