> 24 hourIve had laptops last me for years. Never had HP though. Bought this one based on the price, but have had trouble with it ever since. And now just after the warranty expires after only just a year, the battery is dying and there is zero customer service unless you pay extra. The HP driver software isnt compatible with standard Intel drivers, so if you install based on the alerts from Intel it will mess up your display and then youll have to troubleshoot how to fix it.

> 24 hourLaptop has continually disconnected from WiFi since being turned on. My wife spent 2 hours on the phone with HP to resolve the issue, which is a problem with HP laptops. Issue was not resolved by HP!!!!! Dont wasted your money, and more importantly your time!

> 24 hourI was expecting this laptop to be a bit under-powered, and not quite up to the mark in video and audio. I was completely wrong: this machine blew past my expectations. For a general use laptop, used for web browsing, word processing, and similar purposes, this is more than an adequate machine, this is really very good. The performance is more than acceptable: I havent noticed anything being unusually slow or erratic, it just runs smoothly and fast. The display is 1920x1080 (so HD but not 4K), and clear and crisp for watching online video (for example). The audio too is surprisingly good: you can play music on it and enjoy the well-balanced sound, no cringing necessary.

> 24 hourI got the HP 15-inch FHD laptop for my daughter in case school was cancelled again due to coronavirus. (Her Mac broke). It is a reasonable price, but has some flaws, hence the 4 star review. I love that it has a 10 hour battery life and is very lightweight, so its very portable. However, if I wanted to use it as a work-from-home computer, this is not functional as it doesnt have a Ethernet port as some employers require that. So, its Wi-Fi or nothing. HP needs to put one in to make it more compatible for various usages.

> 24 hourI am incredibly happy with this HP laptop. It is certainly proved to be a significant upgrade from my previous HP laptop. I’ve owned four or five laptops made by HP in the past, and this is by far my favorite. It has the battery life and performance to deliver high speed results all day.

> 24 hourThe 15-dy1036nr is a good laptop at a good price. I think it provides a lot of value. The laptop has an Intel i5 10th gen processor with 4 cores and 8 logical processors. The 10th generation processors include AVX512, which is an impressive instruction set architecture. AVX512 was the reason we purchased the laptop.

> 24 hourI had to purchase this in a hurry because the laptop that the school issued my son for virtual learning was not working. I likely wouldnt have purchased this model had it not been for the laptop shortage due to COVID-19 and our new world of virtual learning, but it was one of the only reasonably priced ones available. The absolute deal breaker is the touchpad/mouse. You have to be DEAD CENTER in the middle when you click on it for it to properly work. They might as well make it 1 inch by 1 inch, because if you miss that sweet spot directly in the center youre out of luck. Its extremely frustrating, especially when youre trying to work quickly. I would expect better from a $600 computer. The keyboard layout is a little funky and sits slightly to the left, a little awkward to deal with at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. The graphics arent good. This computer should be worth about $350-$400. Disappointed but it will have to do, unfortunately.

> 24 hourI have spent a bit of time with this laptop and it functions well. It is quick and I have found no problems. The reason for the four star rating is that like all other computers in this price range, the hinged area is weak and will likely eventually become loose.
