Greater than one weekLaptops have certainly evolved in the wake of the watershed introduction of the MacBook Air. The race to make a compact and light windows variat has went hand in hand with Microsofts evolution of the Windows OS. The one thing Apple was never going to answer with is a sub $500 laptop. This created a market if PC makers could leverage. It was a slow evolution as makers like Asus were able to answer with so-called Ultrabooks. They looked good were compact yet were lacking overall and a big part of it was due to the less refined Windows OS (it was vastly more compatible with internal components and suffered). Now, as of mid-2020 Windows 10 has matured into a truly great OS and that may be one of the best features of this bargain laptop. You get a full Windows 10 Home OS.

Greater than one weekIts a nice entry level laptop and is budget friendly much better than a chromebook or similar device for just a bit more money. It handles all basic office/school duties and can even play some games its not gonna run AAA titles but older games that dont demand alot of graphics juice. Minecraft, roblox etc run nicely one it.

> 3 dayWhat a piece of crap. We were just buying this as a cheapie computer to get us by till we could afford a much better one. Cheap is the right term. This is the worst computer Ive ever owned. We got a notebook computer a year ago for 150 that performs better than this. Just spend the extra money and get something good, or apparently downgrade and get something cheaper. This is the last HP we buy.

> 3 dayNo problems with this Laptop. Ive read some reviews complaining about the keyboard being hard to see but Ive had no problem. When It gets dark at night I just turn on a light which I do anyway at night even if Im not on the laptop. Its probably mostly older people who cant see so well anymore complaining. Im old too but fortunately my eyes arent that bad yet.

> 3 dayTo be honest, my brother suggested this laptop since my previous one died. I like it because it serves its purpose. I dont know much else about computers. The only trouble I do have with this laptop is keeping the screen focused so that the vibrancy and/or brightness is consistent. The brightness changes constantly with the lighting in the room. I hope this helps.

> 3 dayFull Windows 10 Home, not the Windows S mode you typically see now in all of the lower end, budget laptops. Also, for me the lowest end processor I wanted was a Ryzen 3 or i3. Weve picked up several laptops running budget processors and within a few months they just cant seem to handle basic things like streaming a movie or even browsing the web. I recently helped a family member buy a education series HP laptop (meant for schools) and it was very sturdy. This laptop does feel a little flimsy which is fine for me, but might not be the best for young kids. Noticeable difference between this laptop and the ruggedized, educational HP series I bought. Cant beat this though at $400.
