> 3 dayIve read all of the 1-star reviews stating overheating problems and running really slow and my skepticism was correct. Unfortunately, the reason why its a decent price is the sponsorship from McAfee non-antivirus. Its a bunch of bull, Windows defender will do the same thing for free without compromising performance. McAfee comes preinstalled running in the background using all your memory to collect data for advertising and eventually will harass you to pay for a subscription. Fortunately, however, it can be removed easily by going in to control panel>Uninstall programs right-clicking and uninstalling. After that, you have a really nice pc for a decent price.

> 3 dayAfter 2 weeks of having it i can say you get what u paid for, literally you must carry its battery everywhere since it runs low pretty quickly after a full charge. the screen isn’t very bright but its ok. The keyboard is a bit challenging to get used it to since it ain’t backlit and its numeric keypad is an unnecessary addition which makes the whole keyboard very confusing to get your finger familiarized ( specially transitioning from a mac’s keyboard style) The whole laptop bodys material feels a bit cheap plastic but lightweight overall. it might not have an intel processor but its still capable of carrying out simple basic-multimedia tasks and school stuff.. the fan might get a bit loud during a prolonged period while running basic apps ( like itunes) but so far so good

> 3 dayStill trying to get it to connect to the internet. Windows does not find the network adapter. And since it is not under warranty, HP wants to charge to support it.

> 3 dayI didnt want an HP. EVERY HP I have ever owned has been total garbage. BUT, I listened to family and friends who urged me and told me how great their new HPs were. So I gave in and I bought this laptop. WORST DECISION EVER.

> 3 dayFull Windows 10 Home, not the Windows S mode you typically see now in all of the lower end, budget laptops. Also, for me the lowest end processor I wanted was a Ryzen 3 or i3. Weve picked up several laptops running budget processors and within a few months they just cant seem to handle basic things like streaming a movie or even browsing the web. I recently helped a family member buy a education series HP laptop (meant for schools) and it was very sturdy. This laptop does feel a little flimsy which is fine for me, but might not be the best for young kids. Noticeable difference between this laptop and the ruggedized, educational HP series I bought. Cant beat this though at $400.
