For the price and what I need it for it delivers

We order this Chromebook for my son for school and my wife was jealous. The build quality is great. It construction is similar to my HP 360x Elite G2. It more that the average chromebook in regards to cost but worth it.

Do not get this product if you need to return for any reason. You will have to pay a $100 restocking fee.

Didnt like absence of Microsoft office installation

So far it’s working great. Easy set up and convenient for school. The only thing that is a surprise is the poor battery life. I was expecting to charge this fully and that the battery would last 7-8 hours minimum but that’s not the case at all sometimes with a full charge it says I have 2 hours of battery and sometimes it says 20 hours. In reality it’s only been giving us about 5 hours before we have to plug it in. Pretty disappointing actually and I’m dropping my rating because of it. We aren’t gaming on this thing. It’s used solely for one child’s elementary school work.

I bought this chrome book for my little brother. He is satisfied with his laptop. It has a backlit keyboard, touch screen, multiple functions and can be converted to a tablet.

We purchased this in September of 2020, and now, slightly more than a year later, it will not work. Weve tried to restore via the Chromebook Recovery tool, but it will not work. We are able to download everything fine to a jump drive, enter recovery mode, however, it just keeps failing when we try to install the recovery. Googles recovery help site says to just try again, however, weve tried five total times with different computers and jump drives. There doesnt seem to be a fix. If you are planning to purchase this device, which really was amazing for one year, I encourage you to purchase the extended warranty through Amazon. We are 3 months outside of the warranty from the company, which is incredibly frustrating.

HP is a great manufacturer. Windows is on the way out as far as personal computing. Love the features. Chrome/Linux is so much better than windows and much more lighter.

If you have a gmail account just log in with your email and password and all your settings from other devices are installed into chrome. I havent used the camera yet but Ive owned other Chromebooks and they were good for video chat and meetings.
