> 3 dayThe picture is fine but who on earth thought that putting speakers on the back of a monitor was a good idea? The sound is barely audible and I am having no luck finding a way to connect external speakers. Soon I will have to have my windows open and it will be impossible to hear anything at all. And of course if you have a job, HP support is nearly impossible to contact. I regret buying this monitor. UPDATE: No more HP for me. barely 90 days since I ordered it and its dead the picture will not stay on. I left it off overnight and it woke up nicely but the second I moved it, back to black. This is a disgrace to HP and, since it is next to impossible to reach HPs customer service, theres nothing to be done. Good way to rip off customers, HP and amazon.

> 3 dayI am not a heavy monitor user. In fact, I have two home computers and this monitor failed at ten months with light use, on average less than half an hour per day. The backlights went out with the exception of one group at the bottom of the screen. I have a warranty replacement coming but only after over an hour of wasteful troubleshooting with an offshore agent over logmein. And the warranty isnt fun- you have to wait for a shipping box, then you send it back and go WITHOUT A MONITOR until they determine what you sent really is broken and decide if they will send you a replacement. Not impressed. I wouldnt buy this again. Update: Mindy Pollard posted an earlier review with pictures; they show the identical problem to what I experienced. The replacement monitor finally arrived- I went two weeks without a monitor thanks to this issue. I dont perceive this model to be reliable, which is disappointing. I used HP monitors at work for years with zero issues.

Greater than one weekHP support is less than useful despite having 7 more months on the warranty. HP help online chat slow and will ask you if you had plugged the monitor into the wall. The staff will quickly determine that there is no problem with the monitor as long as the monitor can be turned on. No attempt to even consider that the HDMI port in the monitor is not working well, despite already being told that the colours are jumping around and sometimes screen goes off when moving the monitor. This took 50 minutes. The staff will then request you contact HP smart friend, which, unfortunately is the department for software issues. So they cannot help too, which is another 10 minutes of back and forth on what the issue is. The software staff will then request you call the warranty department. 1 issue with screen but routed to three departments. Please just DO NOT purchase HP products if you value customer support and product quality. I have gone through the frustrations, you dont need to. Just get Dell, I have not had any issues with my 3 year-old Dell in the office.

> 3 dayAlthough cost is much less than any ordinary monitors, quality is not compromised. I cannot comment on any specific high-end demands, but for everyday usage from video/picture/color perspective, no complain at all but appreciate HPs reputation.

Greater than one weekThe monitor was a bit larger than I expected, but no issues installing it on my computer desk. The set up was super easy - plug and play - so I was up and running in no time. My computer had to register the device for some reason, so I had to reboot my system while the monitor was plugged into the laptop docking station, but once the laptop rebooted, the big screen came to life! Great color quality for everyday work use. No complaints.

> 3 dayI purchased two of these monitors on prime days because they had a good price and I needed new monitors for my home office There were a few bad reviews of the monitors going out but they were also several good reviews so I decided to give them a shot I regretted that decision within a week In less than five days the first monitor just went black while I was working I contacted Amazon and initially they told me I had to reach out to HP I disputed that with Amazon customer service and said absolutely not since I just bought them and Amazon service did agree to send me a replacement and I returned the defective one The second monitor did the exact same thing in less than 40 days Again while working the monitor just went black Note these monitors are only used in my home office I work about 8 to 10 hours a day so they are not getting excessive gaming use they’re not getting overheated it’s just standard use for working in an office environment The picture on the monitors when they work is great for what I need it for I can’t see how it would be for gaming or anything else but for doing spreadsheets and word documents the picture was fine However they do not last and when you rely heavily on multiple monitors to work when they go out in your left with just one monitor or a small 15 inch laptop it makes it very difficult to be productive I normally do not buy HP brand because I’m not a fan of the quality and these monitors are no exceptions I should’ve stuck to my rule of no HP products and not purchase these items as the quality is very very poor
