HP PhotoSmart 325 Compact Photo Printer

> 3 dayI was strongly considering buying this printer - until I saw my friends prints she made with it. Im usually a fan of HP but I really feel they took a step backwards with the photosmart series. The only real drawback to this printer is the fact that it only uses a tri-color cartridge. Yup, there is only cyan, magenta, and yellow. No black! The way this printer makes black (or shades of grey for that matter) is by combining all 3 colors to form a composite black. This causes the prints to seem washed out and lacking dark contrast (not to mention using a large amount of ink). If you have any sort of darkness, shading, or greys in there, they will be represented poorly. Dont believe me? Go to a local store, ask to see the examples, and compare it to other printers.

> 3 dayI am so disappointed in my 325. It prints beautiful photos from my memory stick, however, I couldnt install it on my computer. I called cust. service and they couldnt help me either. I enlisted help from family and friends and no one can get this thing installed. I keep getting a message that says there is no software to install the hardware! So, try another brand. Im going to.

> 3 dayI put a brand new cartridge in & the printer didnt work. The printer quality was poor at best. I was extremely disappointed considering it was labeled very good/like new condition. I would never order from this buyer again.

> 3 dayMy Husband was quite pleased with this photo printer as his birthday present. And I might add he is not easily pleased with gifts. The picture quality is excellant for its price, and was very easy to use. The only thing I was disapointed in was the fact that it did not come with the battery to make it more portable. I thought it was included in the package. I guess at that price thats what you get.

> 3 dayI got this printer in December but then in January IT STOPPED WORKING! I was bummed because I was so happy with it. I tried to get it to work everyday for about a week or two then I gave up. Now in April I decided to get another one, but before I did I wanted to see if it would work one last time and guess what?! It came to life!!!! It healed itself!!! I have no idea how?! I am so happy with it!!!!!!! Its the best thing ever!!!! NO NEED FOR THE COMPUTER!!!! But if you want to edit the pictures so they come out looking great then it comes with a stellar program!!! I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

> 3 dayPrinter would only print in monochrome colors; the whole print would be all magenta, cyan, yellow, etc. Put in a brand new cartridge with the same results. Seller needs to test the printers before shipping to verify they work as described.

> 3 dayI needed a photo printer that produced excellent pictures, was easy to use, and had a small footprint. The HP 325 Photosmart filled all of my needs. The photo quality is excellent and it takes up very little space. My wife isnt exactly a techie, so I wanted a photo printer that was very easy to use. All she has to do is plug in her CF card, choose a picture, and hit print. No need for the computer. I can use Photoshop to adjust my pictures and then easily print photo quality 4x6s. Highly recommended. The only drawback is the small screen size. You can pay $50 more for the next model up for a larger screen and a few more on-printer options though.
