HTC Vive Base Station

> 24 hourOne of my Vive Pre base stations failed. These were the earliest versions, so they dont automatically turn off. It had been running continuously for almost a year, and likely succumbed to vibration induced damage. It had spent some time attached to one of those extending floor to ceiling poles a lot of people have been recommending, but the outer housing of that pole wasnt snug against the inside part, allowing a bit of rattle. Anyway, even though they are vastly different versions, they seem to be working fine. I have them in Wireless mode right now, with no tracking issues after a week of testing.

> 24 hourIm not sure why some reviews are claiming the new light houses with different LED Array dont work with an older base station... I just bought this to replace an older failing unit and paired with an older base station and it syncs up and works perfectly fine, despite both having different LED Layouts. This fixed all my issues. You DO NOT need to buy a matching base station... If you are still having tracking issues... its likely another reason...

> 24 hourI bought this as a replacement for my kits failing lighthouse unit. Its performed with no issues and set up was painless. Im now able to stream VR without issues using SteamVR through my vive headset.

> 24 hourYou only need TWO base stations. If you buy THREE, you would have to learn how to connect the 3rd base station to VM aka Virtual Machine, which I learned/heard from others, is painstaking and a waste of time. Make you set the base stations high up on the corners, or you will deal with tons of tracking issues. So please understand that if you want 3 base stations, then just buy the 2.0 HTC VIVE base stations instead. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

> 24 hourThe product works as intended. I wish it came with a wall mount, but I wont dock it a star for a personal preference.

> 24 hourDelivery was slow and the product was damaged. It works fine and the price was good but the bolt for attaching to a stand was broken off.

> 24 hourBase station is complete. Belts are shown (in ALL pictures/presentations) as having trackers included. They are not included. It is better to buy the straps separate and not as part of this package. You will save a lot of money.
