> 24 hourI’ve been playing VR for about 2-3 years now and the base stations do exactly as they’re intended, they’re extremely easy to set up and in my experience they have decent durability considering one of my wallmounts had an issue of falling off the wall occasionally due to me using an alternative version that doesn’t require drilling into the walls and the base station sustained no damage and still worked perfectly fine though I do have carpet floors so results may be different when dropped on hard floors Only thing to remember though is only have them plugged in during VR sessions and when you’re done unplug them, I made the mistake of leaving one of my base stations on for an extremely long period of time which burnt out one of the lights or whatever on the inside which is required for it to function which lead to me having to buy a replacement for it Also you can play VR with just one singular base station however it’s extremely restricted in how much you can move around your playspace since you have to stay facing the in the base station’s direction the entire time, so i’d heavily recommend getting at least 2 of them which will allow you to at the very least have basic 360 degree tracking allowing you to move however you want as long as you’re still within both the base station’s view. And you can go up to 4 base stations if you have a big enough play area in order to get the maximum quality tracking ingame as possible Overall an amazing product despite being a bit pricey

> 24 hourFast shipping, came new in box, works great. Just be sure to update the firmware through Steam VR before using it or else it may track weirdly due to software mismatch.

> 24 hourUnfortunately, this is now my third base station Ive had for my Vive. Ive had the included 2 since launch and one day one has a rotor failure that would not be covered by warranty, and repairing it would cost about as much as buying a new one. So I bought one here. Less than a month after I bought the base station, it had the same failure as the first. So I had to return it and get a new one. And that was the only good part about the base station really, the amazon return service. If you have a vive I do recommend buying your replacement equipment here to keep from going through the hassle that is the Htc customer support.

> 24 hourYou only need TWO base stations. If you buy THREE, you would have to learn how to connect the 3rd base station to VM aka Virtual Machine, which I learned/heard from others, is painstaking and a waste of time. Make you set the base stations high up on the corners, or you will deal with tons of tracking issues. So please understand that if you want 3 base stations, then just buy the 2.0 HTC VIVE base stations instead. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
