> 24 hourthe first thing you note is how heavy this unit is, suggesting it has some heavy duty lithium batteries in it. when it arrived it was 70% charged and within an hour, completely charged, as evidenced on the very useful led screen. while i have not used it yet to jump start a car i have no question that this might even work for a tank. the only downside is, you have to order and pay for the plastic case separately and that is i think over priced at $35
