03-06-2025This camera arrived very well packaged, like all other ieGeek cameras that I have, so no shipping damage whatsoever. It was very easy to install using the CloudEdge app (which, by the way, has been recently improved considerably compared to earlier versions). The physical installation had one issue: the ball and socket joint of the solar panel mount could not be tightened, even when I tried to improvise by wrapping the ball with a piece of paper. The panel seems to be identical to panels that came with other ieGeek that I have, and which did not have this problem, so I am assuming that this is just a problem with this particular panel and others will not necessarily encounter it. The image quality was disappointing at first, but then I discovered that to get the QHD resolution I had to press the SD button on the live screen and select QHD from the popup menu, which improved the image quality considerably. The QHD images are quite good for security purposes, though dont expect it to be quite as good as an image that you take with your phone camera, for example. I like it that the user can control whether or not the floodlight is turned on when motion is detected, and also can turn it on whenever is needed for live view. Likewise, the siren can be disabled, enabled for motion detection events, or turned on whenever its needed. Both of these features can be useful under some circumstances. The solar panel works very well - the battery charge level shown full charge at all times, even though my solar panel does not get direct sunlight most of the time. That said, I dont have many motion detection events in a day, so I am not sure if the panel will suffice in a situation where the event frequency is much higher. One shortcoming of this camera is the lack of PTZ functionality, which limits its usefulness to situations where PTZ is not needed.

02-06-2025Camera works well and the extra light helps at night. I like I dont have to connect a power cable to power the camera and the solar works well and keeps it charge throughout the day and night. The mobile app works well and have its individual storage with the sd card is a plus to see playback videos.

> 3 dayAbsolutely worth it, wasn’t sure what to expect but it has been fantastic. I have had it up for over a week. Word of caution, you’ll need to purchase a separate memory card to enable playback. A $25 card will record forever!. Camera only records when it detects so memory space isn’t not wasted. this camera has exceeded my expectations, the image quality is excellent, the sound is very canceled, and the durable battery. I am very satisfied with this camera.

> 3 dayIts a decent camera but it doesnt seem to get as much detection as i would like . The picture quality is not that great and night vision isnt great either. It does have quick motion detection and the light comes on

> 3 dayThis is my third ieGeek camera and Im truly amazed at the level of innovation at a very reasonable price. Other comparable floodlight cameras typically cost at least double or three times as much and often dont have all the features ieGeek provides. In addition to my wireless, solar charged ieGeek PTZ camera I was looking for a security camera with better night time picture quality. This new camera didnt disappoint by delivering crystal clear night vision thanks to a super bright floodlight. The unit is located in an outside area without any external lighting and does a superb job in both HD picture quality and AI supported recognition of human movement even at high sensitivity settings. Integrating the new device into my existing CloudEdge app was seamless. In my opinion this camera checks all the boxes in terms of state-of-the-art technological features and solid build quality without busting the bank.

> 3 daySetting up the camera was a breeze since I already own other ieGeek cameras. It literally took less than 1 minute to set up the camera. I am slowly replacing my older ieGeek cameras with the newer versions that have the light feature. I like that the camera holders and the screw holes are standardized so there’s no need to drill new holes. The spotlight feature allows you to address the intensity of the brightness and you can adjust how long the light stays on, from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. It’s nice to have the solar panel but the wires are black and my stucco is white so it kind of stood out. I would prefer if they have a built-in arm so you can mount the solar panel directly on top of the camera which is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and no black wires running against a lighter background. For the recording management, you can select your zone so that you get less alerts if you have a lot of activity in a certain area, like on the sidewalk. I installed my camera to overlook my driveway as I prefer to know who is coming before they get to the house. I initially had it covering the street so I can see the cars but that changes the range/angle of motion detection and I kept getting alerts and the light would come on - I set it so that the light comes on when there is motion. So I adjusted the camera motion range to only capture activity in the driveway. I wish there is an option to toggle between auto and night vision as currently the night vision is black and white. My photos show what it looks like without the light and with the light (at 75% brightness), as you can see, the trash cans are visible in the B&W. The daytime picture quality is sharp, better than the night vision. I have not been able to figure out how to add my other cameras so I can view them simultaneously which is a plus, the description said you can view up to 4 cameras simultaneously. I am still playing around with the camera but overall I am happy with my purchase.

> 3 dayIt was easy to install and does what it is supposed to. The solar recharging is a huge bonus. Using an SD card is great, so you don’t have to subscribe to their cloud service. The video is ok, and I like the night vision (but video quality is much less). The brightness of the light is good. While the main purpose of this was to provide light in our backyard for when our dog goes out at night, having the motion detector and video is a plus. It’s nice that the motion detection is designed for “humanoids” as we have a lot of animals that go through our yard (deer, raccoons, skunks). So far they haven’t set it off, but we can still look at the live feed in night vision to see them, or remotely turn on the light. My only complaint is we can’t figure out a way to turn on and leave on the light. Not sure if it is possible with this, but that would be a nice feature. You can turn it on from the app, but it only stays on for 10 seconds. When walking the dog at night, we have to wave to turn it on again. The app is nice, but it constantly makes you login again. It saves your user name and password, so you just have to click on the login button. Why not make it use the face recognition and keep you logged in?

> 3 dayThis camera has much better quality video than my older igeek camera. Love the flood light and siren features. Everything seems better on this camera except the feel of the case. The older Igeek seems heavier and more rugged. The new app is easier than the old one for setup of the camera and use itself.
