iFixit Mako Driver Kit - 64 Precision Bit Set for Electronics Repair

I like to tinker with my electronics. Ive stripped my fair share of screws by using the wrong bit. Not anymore. This driver kit felt great in hand and is really compact. I love the quality and build of it and would reccomend it if you also like tinkering with electronics.

There’s a great selection of tools - including triangle, square, star, security torx - all at great quality, for a great price. What’s not to like! Well… I like everything about this toolkit, except the engraved labels on the foam are nearly impossible to see, even with direct light. If you buy this toolkit do yourself a favor: grab a bright marker (I used a metallic sharpie - shown in photo) and mark over the engraving to make it more visible. You’ll thank yourself later when you’re trying to find the correct bit which is equally impossible to see, with how tiny some of them are. Then, you’ll thank yourself again when you sort the bits back into their correct slots after an involved repair. After my little modification, I’m loving my new driver kit!

What can I say? This is a very helpful variety of drivers. I enjoy the reassurance of knowing that these are at my disposal.

I saw someone using one of these at an electronics store, and I assumed that this would cost considerably more than it currently is priced on Amazon. Since purchasing, I have used many times, the top is also good to hold small screws while completing a project.

So much to like. Cool case with screw compartment lid, great selection, and majorly good handle (better than Wiha by miles). The bits seem to be reasonably durable but not Wiha level, in this case. Perfect for a tech hobbyist who works on phones, tablets and laptops. Also indispensable for a tool person who always needs to have the right bit for any job on hand.

Overall happy with my purchase, the tool seems to be strong, I had to use one of the bits quite heavy handedly against steel and it did not bend / deform which was impressive.

This toolkit is great. The included magnetised screwdriver handle is ergonomic and feels well made. The screwdriver heads cover a good range of sizes and shapes. I have repaired a wide range of tablets, laptops, desktops from a wide range of brands and have so far always found the correct screwdriver head in the set. I can’t really comment on the durability as I’ve only had the set for about 6months , but so far I haven’t managed to round off any of the screwdriver heads. Hopefully they Will last!. The kit is wrapped up in a neat little box. The parts are all seated into the foam cutouts within the box. The box lid stays closed by the four small pin magnets which are located at the corners of the boxes base and also on the four corners of the boxes lid.
