> 24 hourWas easy to set up and it does work! So for that 4 stars... nice to set routines so you dont have to think about it for holiday lights. Nice thick cord... could be a tag longer so it wasnt dangling off the wall and could lay on the ground but not a big deal. Only complaint is that it seems flaky on the wifi...sometimes takes multiple tries or even unplugging it to connect and change something. I imagine this is just a reality of being outside. But something to consider if you think you might have a weak signal where you want it.

> 24 hourI am having trouble connecting this divide. I have tried several times with the app and with Alexa. I have other plugs that connect right away, even after removing them, renaming them, or disconnecting them. This one has proven impossible. Two stars because the design sits flat on the ground or the wall, and the plugs face downward, preventing any water from getting in. I am disappointed with the Bluetooth connection; the instructions say that I have to use less than 5G, which may be the problem. I do not have these issues with my other plugs.

> 24 hourI literally had this smart outlet up and running within about 10 minutes of opening the box. The box came a bit mangled (Amazon packaging problem...not a product problem) but because the plug was well secured in plastic molding, it was not damaged by the smashing of the exterior box. I plugged it in, downloaded the Geeni app, logged into Geeni with my google account, the device was immediately located by the app, I renamed the device, then named the plug, and then I was able to push a single button within the app to link it to my Google Home account. Voila! I then attached my device (using for my outdoor patio lights) and immediately I was able to use the Google Home Assistant to turn them on/off. I was also able to turn them on/off through the Google Home app. Not sure I will ever even use the Geeni app since it is now integrated so well in the Google Home app. My only wish is that it had its own hardware remote control. Sometimes we are not within earshot of the google devices and may not have the phone handy. Would be nice to simply have a physical remote control mounted outside on the patio for easy use. But otherwise, a simple, easy to install and integrate, product.

> 24 hourI had to update the capacity of an outdoor outlet in a backyard planter to add more capacity. It previously operated a landscape lighting transformer and a waterfall style fountain that was operated with a manual switch. I was adding some sport court lighting and needed an additional outlet. I picked up this product and it not only provided the additional capacity, but I was able to tie in the sport court lighting with other previously existing lights that I was able to control with Alexa, plus I was able to add smart control of the fountain, which is a nice upgrade. Setup was easy, very standard for this type of product. So far, it is working as expected and holding up in the outdoor elements.

> 24 hourThe setup on this outlet is simple which I enjoyed, and I really like that you can separately name and control each outlet! The app the runs this device is very simple to use and has a timer on/off switch which is great for having things not on all day or night and saving on electricity. The only thing I found was a bit of a downside was the range for the Wi-Fi was not very good. I had it plugged in outside to help have some lighting on a timer and the device connected while inside, but when I went outside and set it up it wouldn’t connect to the WiFi in the house.

> 24 hourWould have rated as outstanding except that the app (geeni) I does NOT allow for the older model iHome plugs. So you either use two apps (geeni and iHome) or buy all new plugs. Bad feature.

> 24 hourQUICK SUMMARY: I like this smart outlet. Its solving a problem for the upcoming holidays where I want to light up my backyard patio. WHAT I LIKE: - Works with Alexa. Its easy to add a new skill and then say, Alexa, turn on (or off) the patio lights - Once connected, it seems to stay connected - Easy to install WHAT COULD BE BETTER: - Although the packaging says its suitable for outdoor use, the owners manual contradicts that and says its for indoor use only (Im using it outdoors) - Since its for outdoor use, it would be nice if it had a GFCI protection built-in - Its not Underwriter Labs-listed - It doesnt identify which outlet is Socket 1 and which is Socket 2 (when holding the smart outlet upright, Socket 1 is the left one, Socket 2 is the right one) - I had problems connecting this to my WiFi. The automatic method didnt work, and the instructions for manually adding it werent right. I bumbled my way through and found a way to connect it, though. - It uses LED light blinking frequency to distinguish between manual connection mode and automatic connection mode. You have to read the fine print to learn what fast blinking means. Would be better to just use a different LED light color to indicate the different modes. CONCLUSION: Once setup, I like the smart outlet. I wish it were UL-listed. I wish it were easier to connect to my homes WiFi. But now that its installed and connected to Alexa, I like it.
