> 24 hourThese work!! The adhesive is great! They do not budge at all after applying to door. The one downside is the smell! I’m not sure if it’s the adhesive or not but the smell was horrid when first opening! The smell did dissipate after a few hours though. This is why I didn’t tap 5 stars.

> 24 hourThis works good but it can come off if you have a demon toddler like I do. He was able to figure out this was taped on and just pulled really hard and got it off. Once he got it off, I was not able to relax knowing he could do it again. His father said he will try to add a screw to it, but we haven’t done that yet.

Best thing is that at 4 1/2 years old, my grandson has not figured out how to open the locks of this pretty simple design. We have a slider door to the deck from the primary bedroom and he can open the locked slider so we needed a way to keep him out of the bedroom all together. These locks work!

ONE HAND OPERATION:
Requires an adult to push the release button on both sides of the lever. This can easily be done with just one hand. A toddler"s hand isn"t as big as yours and he or she will not open the lock. This is a big improvement over other lock designs sold on the market. Those only require a single button to be pushed. Clever toddlers and small children can push the single button and open the door. Most kids can"t open our 2-button design.
