> 24 hourI installed this in a GIGABYTE B660 Gaming X AX DDR4 since Im not overclocking and the board has all the features I wanted at a good price. Its paired with 16 GB DDR4 3200 CL14 RAM and a Phanteks 240 MP AIO liquid cooler. CPU temp never rose above 55 degrees during a 60 minute 100% CPU usage stress test with the stock Phantek fans. With Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans, temp is in the high 40s during the same stress test.

> 24 hourThe i5-12600K (K signifying that this is the desktop version) features a more generous turbo power bounds in addition to its desktop TDP, unlocked for overclocking, and included a single Intel sticker. This CPU is renowned among tech reviewers for its value while compromising only minimally in real world usage scenarios. If the i5 moniker is the “mainstream” product suitable for most users, the chip does not disappoint.

> 24 hourPSA: do not buy if you want to overclock and you plan on using Intel XTU on windows 10! Intel has dropped support for XTU on windows 10 for the 12th and 13th gen models, which i did not know at the time of purchase. Regardless, you may not even need to overclock this processor, it handles games, video editing, and large processing workloads well! I have been enjoying Intels P/E core technology a lot, my background tasks running nominally, while my games and workloads execute smoothly. Amazing processor for its price, but its definitely not the fastest. You should buy this as an in-between when building a new computer or when upgrading chipsets, etc.

> 24 hourThis processor is amazing in that for significantly less price than previous years you can have the same processing power. I upgraded a 6 year old processor -- the last upgrade to basically fully replacing my pc-- with no issues, and easily was able to recognize the Windows code, and had no issues swapping. Overall, the Processor preforms great, has no issues, and is able to effectively handle my needs in photo editing, video editing, and gaming.
