I bought this on prime day for a steal and use it for gaming and so far so good.

Replacing a legend is always bittersweet, but, the Prime day 2021 deal on i7-10700KF was enough to push me onward. Getting a decade of solid performance from i5-2500K @ 4.2GHz is amazingly cost effective. Ive always had zero issues with any Intel cpu Ive used (and also the AMD ones Ive used in the past).

Great value for money without an integrated GPU (unneeded in my case since Ive an discrete graphic card)

Got it at $264. amazing value. been away from the pc scene a while, but holy moly this thing is fast. paired with my rtx 3070 and runs games like a champ.

Wish I would have done my research better before buying. The processor itself is fine but for the exact same price an i7 12700k can be had with 4 extra cores. I know those are not compatible with the same socket but as someone who had to buy a motherboard anyways I screwed myself. All in all its a good processor , I just wish I wouldnt have spent so much on it.

Dropped it in a ASUS TUF Gaming 590Z M.B. with a new intel 700 series PCi Express 1 TB boot drive FAST BOOT 12-15 seconds. Plus I got Gskill DDR 4 3000mhz 32GB memory. Im cooling it with a CoolerMasterAIO 240, stays at 26 deg. Celsius idle, never gets hotter than 59 deg, celsius under load!

If you can get this on sale and pair it with the gigabyte z590 UD, its a great combo.

This thing is a beast, runs any game or program or both at the same time. It does run a little hot but with a decent AIO or Air Cooler, it should be fine. Im not sure if its better than the 5600x for gaming but I do a LOT more with my PC as a Youtube content creator, programmer, and avid CAD program user. I can say this thing eats everything I throw at it. The main difference for me was the price. I at the time of my purchase the 10700KF was $260, the 5600x was $399, Kind of a no-brainer. Cant say enough about this CPU. 10/10.
