Greater than one weekAlmost went with the 12900K, but chose this due to not needing another 4 cores for $300 extra. It’s been a couple weeks and been flawless.

> 3 dayThis was bought for a Christmas gift for my son. It didn’t work for his computer. Company won’t send a refund until they receive item (which is fine) but say within 30 days after they get it. Won’t buy from them again

> 3 dayDefinitely be sure to have adequate cooling on this beast - even with a moderate overclock youre quickly drawing a ton of power and making a ton of heat! Great value for money if you need the horsepower for CAD, photo/video work and gaming.

Greater than one weekSo far, this is working great. Just be aware that it does not come with a cpu cooler. Also, not all software supports its GPU or can make good use of all of the performance/efficiency cores. That is not a complaint about the chip. Just make sure that your software/use/need can utilize all that this chip can offer.

> 3 dayNo doubt, 12th gen Intel processors are a marvel of computing technology. Although there is a continuing tug of war between Intel and AMD in this regard. I personally chose Intel Core i7 (12700K) with inbuilt UHD graphics for my newly built desktop PC. For those, who dont want to use a separate and usually exorbitantly priced graphics cards, this processor is a very good alternative. It can handle most of the processing intensive rendering of Blender easily with its unlocked overclocking (obviously you have to use the supporting motherboard, i.e. presently available Z690 chipset motherboards). It can also smoothly handle almost all the tasks of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop with no hiccups. Not to mention the support of 4K video with HDR if you are looking for some decent and the latest entertainment in your PC. I would suggest this 12th Gen i7 to those who want to use their PC for content creation purpose in the best possible way and also at the same time save some money (compared to 12th Gen i9, which would ideally be the best anyway, but costlier too). The price is still at a high level. Hopefully this comes down soon with the launch of Intels 13th Gen processors!

> 3 dayIf you are using this hard, get a large cooler, it has many cores and they can generate heat. That done, it is great.
