Its been roughly 6-7 years since I last build my gaming computer. Upgrading to this has been more than significant. As of this writing, I hope youve done your research the I7-12700ks price point and its competition. For this price point, it may be the top dog.

Came in perfect condition, snapped right into place, and worked on first boot. Havent had the need to push it to its limit so far, but even with a whole bunch of stuff running, it gives me absolutely no trouble, so Im sure itll be fine for a long while.

The last time I was this happy with an Intel CPU in terms of performance-per-dollar was the 4770K.

Ive bounced over years from AMD to INTEL and at one point settled back to INTEL. I typically go for the i7 processors to get more life out of my systems (rather than i3 or i5 processors). I have gotten many more years than thought out of systems and still show good usability even after 6 years. The processor installs easily provided you have some knowledge in building computers. No blue screening to report used with ASUS Z690M-Plus motherboard and G.SKILL memory.

7 years ago in March 2016 I built my first PC and decided to get the flagship I7-6700K at the time. Deemed to be future proof for 5+ years, which was in fact was true.

The 12700k easily crushes anything I throw at it, was debating between this and the 5800X but this was cheaper at the time and performs better.

The 12th gen i7 12700k is one of the best gaming CPUs on the market when you even out all the factors including budget, speed, performance, overclocking, etc. I have a 3 fan AIO to cool this beast, I recomend you do the same to ensure a long lasting chip.

This CPU is fast! Its great. Just be careful when youre inserting it into the motherboard and you should be good to go. It runs at a decent temperature in my Fractal case with Arctic 280 AIO. No bottlenecking in my games paired with DDR5 and a 3080 12GB GPU.

Super fast CPU for just about anything youd like to do with it. Highly recommend, couldnt be happier!
