> 24 hour6 cores and twelve threads 95 Watt TDP processor. With a GeForce GTX 1080 installed / 32 GB memory dual m.2 970 pro this thing takes off like a rocket hitting 4.7mhz stock. cpu does get a bit hot, but, after de-liding, im hitting about 50 - 60 degrees running a H100i v2. Overall, im happy with the i7 8700k, this is a fantastic processor that will hold its own for a few more years.

> 24 hourYes, it can run a little on the warm side, but only when overclocked and fully loaded. I have a custom loop (no delidding!) and run the chip with all cores at 4.7 GHz, no AVX offset, and see temps as high as 65C (Prime95) and 75C (Prime AVX). This is still some 20-30 degrees below the specified maximum. Gaming is typically somewhere in the 40s C, aka just fine. I saw 50-55C loaded with the processor at stock settings.
