Jacquard Cyanotype Sensitizer Set

> 3 dayAfter following the normal protocol for mixing the product is very dark green and hardly any blue once the process is completed. This typically means the chemicals are contaminated. It should dry to a more bronze/brown color and once developed there should be nice rich blue pigment left. Unfortunately that is not the case here. Which is a bummer because I was really hoping this brand would be my go too. I guess Ill continue my search.

> 3 dayIve used this product for years. I used to buy elsewhere until someone directed me here. Its a great price, considering most companies sell this for $30 or more for the same kit. These are dry chemicals and you must add water (distilled only, its better without contaminants). Mix in dark room, where gloves when applying and you are good to go. You can make some fantastic art and photography with this. Print on anything (cloth or papers). Cyanotypes are an understated medium and this kits lets you try it on a budget!

> 3 dayEasy to use but for large swaths of fabric I would recommend a spray bottle over a brush.

> 3 dayI wanted something different to share with my craft loving sisters when they came to visit. This was just the ticket. Unlike the prepared fabrics and papers, there is some prep, of course, and the waiting for things to cure is not so much fun. The results, however, were well worth it. Ill try to post pictures later.

> 3 dayJacquards chemicals are easy to use, and the results can be a lot of fun. This reminded me of working in a photo darkroom! Definitely mix the A and B under low light (I used a red LED flashlight), as the result is light sensitive, once it is mixed. Make very small batches as you dont need much to cover a few sheets of paper. I had good results with watercolor paper, and doing 6-10 minute exposures in the sunlight. Good luck to you all. Be creative!

> 3 dayJust follow instructions to mix and let sit overnight. The next day I used watercolor paper and a sponge brush to apply sensitizer. Wipe off excess and let dry. Prepared the dried plants for composition and placed a sheet of plastic over the plants using bulldog clips. Exposed at 5 minutes sunlight was enough. I used the bathtub as a rinse station because I didnt have a wide enough rinse tub. It worked out fine.

> 3 dayHave not been able to use it yet because I read the instructions which tell you to fill the bottle, shake it (till dissolved, whenever that is I dont know), then wait 24 hours before using it. Im just disappointed because shipping took longer than usual prime and now I have to wait another day before I can even get the paper prepared. I will write another review after I actually get to utilize it. By the way, you are told to reconstitute the whole bottle and that the solutions have a long shelf life which doesnt tell me anything. I hope that they dont go bad.
